You go and come, but this place still has the most wonderful chinese food. Service is excellent! Prices are expensive, but you are receiving good quality food, especially with the duck and pork dishes.

One place we always like to go back to when in Sydney. Prices have definitely gone up, ambience is a little to be desired, but the food is always wonderful. Peking duck is divine

Peking duck was good, nice and meaty. As was the follow on san choy bau. Bbq duck/pork combo was nice but not outstanding. Chinese spinach with garlic had a very large caterpillar in it, roughly the size of your middle finger. Whilst the staff were quick to remove it and offer all they could in compo, we had lost our appetites. Not rushing back.

It was all going satisfactory until the plate of Chinese spinach came out with a 3 cm thick caterpillar.

Staff didn't speak English, mixed our orders and were very annoyed when we asked for the dish we actually ordered. Place seemed a bit dirty and the food was average.

Being a Chinese, I hated this place. The food is bad, the waiters do not speak English, and the food is overpriced. I'll never go back again. It was so much better a few years back. Definitely WILL NOT RECOMMEND.

How the mighty have fallen. Hadn't been to BBQ King for a few years, thought I'd give it a try now that I've returned to Sydney. Perhaps, the hawker centres in Singapore spoiled me, but I found it expensive (yes, I accept that the decor is utilitarian, and that's part of the charm) and the food to be very ordinary. The chinese spinach in garlic tasted suspiciously like ginger, and the beef element of the beef in oyster sauce was stewing or casserole beef and low quality at that.
One of the very few times I was sorely tempted to refuse to pay for a substantial part of the meal. Should have been warned by the fact that on a busy Saturday lunchtime in Chinatown there were only about three people eating here. Suggest that they reduce the serving sizes and concentrate on the quality.

What were we thinking? After reading reviews thought we would give it a go after a concert in city, late night dinner. Waiters were very rude and did not speak. Food arrived and we could not eat it, it was the worst we have ever had. Needless to say we have been there done that, never again.

I thought this place was a bit strange. The food was great, but the decor is very bland. I was eating with 3 friends then the waiter sat three other strangers on the table. The waiters don't smile and seem to shout at each other. I like the food but wouldn't go for a romantic meal.
