After dining here on a Saturday night, couldn't work out how this place was rated as high as it is. The water on the table tasted oddly like oil. We ordered the Afghani dishes off the menu. The Afghani dishes were few, compared to the online menu listings. For entrees, we had the Aushak and Afghani crepes. They were passable, but didn't taste very fresh. For mains we ordered the lamb kofta and the goat korma, only to be told 15 minutes later that the goat korma was not available tonight. The replacement dish, the beef korma was terrible. The meat was very tough and stringy. The salad, rice and naan accompaniment was no better than what you might get in a food court. We skipped the desserts and made a beeline out of there.

We went here on a weeknight and it was quite busy. We had the Mustang Platter for entrée which was quite nice. Had the Mustang Lamb and the chicken curry which were good too. Dishes are fresh and simple.

Unfortunately, I can't recommend this place. For entrée, we had the grilled haloumi stack and the Cevapcicci, (seasoned lamb sausages), which were ok. For mains, we had the scotch fillet (ordered medium but was rather burnt). Paying $3.50 extra for a small dipping sauce, makes a mediocre steak, quite pricey. I had the lamb rump from the carvery ($25), which was unsatisfactory. Came with thick rinds of fat and little else. Both dishes came with potatoes. As many would know, there are different potatoes for different uses. The potatoes we had were the cheap general purpose type, not for roasting. As a result they were cooked but grainy and hard inside and inedible. To add insult, this place has the gall to charge a 10% surcharge on a Saturday (not just Sunday's and public holidays). We passed on the dessert menu and wandered next door to the Lindt cafe.
