We gave this establishment one more chance as we had heard of new owners and similar name change. Scallops tasteless but beef dumplings on entree tasting platter yum. Scampi of mains small and tasted of tomato soup other main beef over cooked even though ordered medium. Service was average and ambience weird with lights that are still turned on and off when food is ready from the kitchen. This will be our third and last time as there are so many other options in Gymea.

Service was great - thanks Alex - food was great, but quantity for value was about 6 out of 10. Ambience not bad given that it's in a busy street and shopping centre. A tad pricy, but would go again one day. My wife had scampi - most expensive main course with the least amount of actual meat. Fish of day good value and desserts were great as well.

Before going to Vintage I had heard mixed reviews about the restaurant but we where keen to give it a try for ourselves. All in all not overly impressed. An email sent for the booking had still not been responded to 24 hours later so I had to ring up and book.

Whilst our waiter was quite sweet, when you are paying top dollar you expect top service and he was a little inexperienced to be able to provide this. We had a group of 6 but the wait time for the meals was way too long and unfortunately when the meals came they hadn't been worth the wait.

Whilst the pork and the Steak meals were great the speciality lamb dish was dry and over done. The accompaniments with the fish of the day where beautiful but the fish like the lamb was over cooked. So all in all a long wait for an overcooked and overpriced meal. Doubt I would return given the quality you can get in the shire for the same spend.

I was really impressed after having dinner at this fairly new restaurant last week. I'm told it's fairly casual for breakfast and lunch but becomes 'fine dining' for dinner service.

Very busy on a Saturday night but they squeezed us in without a reservation. A small but well thought-out menu. Wine list is a bit limited but still ok. Food was delicious with generous portions.

Very reasonable at around $80 per person for 2 courses, a shared dessert and a bottle of wine.

    Updated October 2013:

They've changed their breakfast menu back to having the big breakfast (cellarman's) and eggs benedict which are both really good. Very pleased they changed back as the other menu was disappointing. It's not overly busy on a weekend too which is good for us (but not so much for them). The food is good, give it a try.

Oh and the pulled pork roll for lunch is pretty great.

We had a lovely experience at this restaurant last night. The service was very professional but friendly and attentive. The food was beautiful. The open kitchen was great to see and added to the feel of the restaurant. It runs very smoothly. Would definitely recommend.

Phoned at midday to book reservation for dinner. Left a voicemail message but no-one called back. We went anyway and the restaurant was only half full. It was a cold winter evening and the large open room lacked a heater.

There were only 5 starters but I picked one that I was excited to try, however I was then told it had sold out - at 7.30! Skipped starter and chose the Eye Fillet for my main asking for medium-rare. It took over half an hour and arrived burnt black on the outside and medium at best on the inside.

Whilst eating, we were never asked if we wanted a second drink or how our meal was. We decided not to waste any more money on dessert and asked for the bill. When we were paying, only then was our water topped up! Will not go back.

I have been here a few time for breakfast and lunch. Great modern restaurant which has an awesome wine list. Food is good, good portions and produce they use, doesn't let it down. Only thing is that is slightly pricey. For breakfast you can look to pay between $15-$25... and 15-$30 for lunch. Coffee is good and the waitstaff are pleasant also. Can get a bit busy in the mornings but hey would rather go to a place that is busy than one that isn't! Worth a try.

Beautiful restaurant. Have been meaning to drop into this place since it opened a year or so ago. Food was great, had the Saganaki Prawns and the Eye Fillet. Value for money was a bit steep especially given their competitors.
