We have enjoyed coffee, cakes and macaroons at the Mortdale branch since this venue first opened for business. Coffee has always been most enjoyable at this venue and staff are always friendly and helpful. The consistent quality standard has been maintained and whilst pricing could be considered high for some, quality cakes ordered for a special occasion have been reliable and exceptional well received by participating guests. We have ordered Californian Carrot Cake, White Chocolate Mud Cake and most recently Victoria Sponge Cake, all of which have tasted heavenly and looked superb. At this stage, we have not tried their lunch menu, but with all those sweet temptations behind glass, who could blame us?
I frequent the Mortdale store. Love, love, love the cakes but they are a little expensive. Coffee is the only decent coffee in Mortdale and the staff are pretty friendly so no complaints there. Love the food and quite a good menu, it's just a bit expensive for your typical family BBQ but great for birthdays or occasions, a little more special.
I remember going there when it first opened. The taste and texture of their cakes and desserts was exquisite. Its still good quality but way too expensive. Not worth paying the premium price they ask as not only has quality dropped but the size of their cakes and portions now is scandalous to say the least. I loved that hand made quality but now its just a slight upmarket Michels Patisserie.
The minute you walk into Patisserie New York, or as the locals call it PNY, you travel to another dimension... the dessert dimension. If such a thing were to exist, this is where it is! From the authentic Sicilian Tiramisu to the exquisite macarons and decadant Black Satin Mud Cake, it is a euphoric experience to say the least. Oh and their coffee bangs a punch too!
