I was amazingly pleased with the level of effort that didn't go into making my breakfast. Fantastic. I especially enjoyed the real eggs used to make the scrambled eggs with wonder white (?) toast. Seriously. End sarcasm. Powdered eggs? For breakfast? Did we lose a war?
In all seriousness. Unless you're a crazy loner with a grudge fuelling your nihilistic rage against the world, don't subject yourself to the HORROR of Cafe Chianti. Were an electrical storm to crop up, localised in Cafe Chianti, and vaporize the premises, I would go to church tomorrow.
I've been to this place 2 or 3 times now for lunch, we try it once, have a bad experience then try again cos we forget why we didn't like it, then again. The last visit, the food was ok, I had a Gourmet Chicken sandwich with "semi-dried" tomatoes and some other stuff on turkish bread.
A warning: The Vienna Chocolate comes half empty. Usually cafes will make the chocolate or coffee fill to the top, then the cream gets put on afterwards. In this cafe, half the tiny glass is filled with liquid and the cream makes up the other half glass. I asked if it was meant to be half full and the lady looked a bit shifty, apologised and got a new one for me. This time, the liquid was a fraction more. So maybe this is how they make it here. Oh well! *shrug*
Service is ok but cafe very dim and quiet, suits someone who wants to spend longer amounts of time in there with a good book or something. Barista boy is kinda cute. PS. In the past, I ordered the chicken and avocado melt: it comes really oily and salty!
