I really loved it here. Great atmosphere and I love the communal dining idea. Great list of tequilas and tequila cocktails. I hate corn chips but their corn chips are different and very delicious. The servings are small so don't go there if you want a big feast. The food is designed to share. Very fresh and vibrant Mexican food. Love!

How does place have two hats? When we were sat the table wasn't even set. No cutlery, glasses or even napkins. Our table was set whilst we were at the table. Bread was placed before us but not once were we given side plates and yet other tables had them.

My spanner of crab dish was very nice but my skate was very overcooked and not edible. My partner's steak was very average and very undercooked. The waitress didn't come to us during our mains to ask if our food was ok so to rectify any problems with our food. On my way to the bathroom and the waitsaff do not give way to you in the narrow aisles. No way an iceberg more of a soggy lettuce.

Dined here last night and was very impressed. I had the scallop entree which were cooked perfectly. My main was the reef fish and it was steamed to silky perfection. Ordered the truffle hand cut chips too and loved that too. My partner had the octopus entree and steak and both dishes were exceuted beautifully too. Why doesn't this place have a hat? It just goes to show how much politics and rubbish is behind that award. Well done Manta.

I went for New Year's Eve and after having read past reviews was not expecting a good night. I simply couldn't fault the evening. The overall party atmosphere was electrifying with a DJ, singer and (though slippery) dance floor.

I am never satisfied at cocktail events but the canapes kept coming and they were delicious especially the baby steak tartare. My favourite was when dozens of waiters armed with a plethora of sweets were thrust upon the crowd after midnight. What a way to start 2010.

Staff were friendly, all seemed oddly to be in good spirits to be working new year's eve. Amazing views of the fireworks and was surprised to be able to see all the other fireworks on the horizon line. Very romantic indeed.

Wow! No one told me I would be dining in a glass shoe box! We were sat at the end of the restaurant by a window only to watch the table in the middle serve as a round-about for the waiters. Certainly not for the claustrophobic.
The food is without a doubt flawless. My scallops (from Nova Scotia!) entree brought me to my knees - simply exquisite. My lobster main was impeccably executed, didn't even have to use the dreaded finger bowl, the creature was chopped up so well. Couldn't do dessert, food was so damn rich although I must say the french toast I saw the waiters serve looked out of this world.
The service for a three hatted place was disappointing. It took more than ten minutes for our dinner menus, water took longer than twenty minutes, food took a long time to arrive and mains got served before our wines arrived. No one asked how our meals were either.
The atmosphere was dampened by our neighbours whom were clearly angry about the late arrival of their meals. She finally cracked the poos (many times) and demanded to see the manager (many times) however no manager ever showed up. Three hats you say?

This place now has a new name, Ah Yuen Chinese Seafood Restaurant. Came here on a Monday night with my boyfriend. We had the live mud crab, steamed chicken and vegetables and a bogan duck dish (not Peking duck). The crab was out of this world, I cannot get over how amazing it was. The price was pretty good too especially if you compare it with Chinatown prices. The chicken dish was great too, plenty of it too, great value! The duck wasn't memorable but maybe that was over shadowed by the mud crab??

The venue by Chinese restaurant standards is ten out of ten. Your shoes won't stick to the floor, no greasy waiters doing inappropriate things and in fact I found them very polite. Beware of the huge plasma above the bar however.
It was a slow night, only two other tables therefore earning another ten out of ten rating for atmosphere. How can I complain when we had their full attention? They were also seating people at 10pm, Monday night! I highly recommend this place for the mud crab, I salivate as I write.

I have been coming here for years. It is definitely one of the better Thai places in that area. Among my favourite dishes are Volcano prawns, spring rolls, Thai fried rice and all their curries are pretty good. Beautiful presentation of food even when you order take away. Be sure to try the Thai custard and sticky rice in the desserts section. It's a must especially in winter.

I went to the Orbit bar for the first time on Friday night with work friends for drinks and nibbles. The place was packed so I felt very lucky when the friendly host took us to a table by the window. The staff were very helpful suggesting cocktails and telling us which were their favourite. The cocktails and food were great, My Ruby cocktail was divine. We had a fantastic night.

The food is fantastic, can't understand why people think it's bland. Those people must order dishes like butter chicken and in that case you deserve it. However, their Indian desserts leave little to be desired for. And if you see the type of eatery (not restaurant) it is and how busy they always are then you should know asking for water isn't very smart.

The emphasis here is the food, go off the beaten track and try the offal, something you don't see on a lot of menus. I feel that the food and the ambience of Faheem's is very authentic of what Indian food should be. I even love the fact that there are always huge groups of Indian families eating with their hands! If you want Indian food with nice surroundings and good service go else where, where they cook your tandoori chicken in a regular oven and not a traditional tandoor.
