Senior Staff was extremely rude, from the moment we booked to the actual service in the restaurant. Got angry and argued with us about booking through Dimmi when we had purchased a voucher, kept asking why we would do that, why we would make the restaurant pay more. We had no idea restaurants pay to use Dimmi or that you weren't supposed to use a voucher with a Dimmi booking, wasn't specified on the voucher.

I don't think I can give Tetusya's anything but a 10 on all accounts. Went late last year with my girlfriend and had the most amazing experience. Although the food was expensive, it was more than worth it. Compared to other restaurants, where you still pay top-notch for a degustation menu but with food coming nowhere near Tetsuya's magnificence, it's a great deal. I've been saving up and can't wait to go again at the end of this year. Tetsuya's, here I come!

Whenever I feel like spoiling myself, I head down and around the corner for a beautiful steak baguette from Lumiere. Although service could be improved (can be a little cattish), the place looks great and has a very sophisticated, yet still Surry Hills-ey feel to it.

What a hidden gem Monkey Magic is! Strolling on my way to work one day, I realised this candle-lit entrance was for a Japanese restaurant and decided to check it out later that night. What a great start to my weekend.

The food was different than any Japanese I've had before. Introducing a lot of fresh lime flavours with a touch of spice, the dishes were light and perfect for sharing. That's one thing I always love about Japanese restaurants, you get to try a little of everything. We ordered a massive amount of dishes and some great cocktails to accompany them.

The night went great, which is not hard in a sexy, New York - style restaurant like this.

Response from Management:
Dear xonxon,
Thank you for feedback. I am glad you enjoyed your dinner at Monkey Magic and that you got the full experience of sharing dishes and trying a bit of everything. Our menu is constantly updated with new dishes being introduced regularly, so we hope to see you back at Monkey Magic soon!

Tried out Efendy Meze Bar a few weeks ago and was pleasantly surprised. My past experiences with Turkish cuisine have been limited to the occasional late-night, street-side kebab. This is definitely something different altogether!

I'm not normally a fan of vegetarian dishes, but decided to make an exception on this occasion and ordered a fair share of meat-less dishes. Best decision of my life! Everything tasted so incredibly fresh and was bursting with flavour, meat or not.

The place had a very casual but sophisticated Istanbul tea-house feel to it, especially with it's (very comfortable!) lounges in the back. Service was great and very informative, the girl waiter was very helpful with our choice of dishes and lent a sense of authenticity to our experience.

I can't wait to go back (especially after re-reading what I just wrote!).

Jazushi has to be one of my favourite restaurants. Close to Central and just off Crown St, but hidden in Devonshire St., it's a gem just waiting to be discovered by the adventurous diner.

Food at Jazushi is always fresh and never ceases to charm me. We always order too much and on more than one occasion, have had to resort to shyly asking for take-away containers (and oh my god, it tastes amazing the next day!). For die-hard fans like myself, a seasonal change in menu would be great though. I noticed last time that there's been an introduction of specials, which is definitely a good change.

Of course, apart from sushi, jazz is also a main aspect of the venue. And again, this does not disappoint. Fantastic, infallible service is a given at Jazushi, time and again. My only recommendation, apart from a seasonal menu? Lower prices so I can visit more often without feeling so guilty for my wallet!
