I have to say that I love this place! The sangria is excellent, service is friendly, love the spanish guitar in the background. Food is very good, quick and tasty. I am really impressed by Legends. It's become a little harder to get a table on short notice as it's reputation has grown so make sure you book in advance, well worth the effort!

A nice fine dining experience with a view of the lake. The service is very good, the food as well but I felt uncomfortable in the quiet, open space. The customer base is an older crowd and there's not much ambience in the room. The staff have a 'can do' attitude which is refreshing and they let me leave a blank cheque for the bill days in advance so I could impress my date and not have to worry about the bill. Really nice place that's worth a try.

Went to dinner last night, four adults and a child. There's no kids menu options at all but the food was ok for the type of restaurant. Service was a great improvement over last time I went there, staff were friendly and attentive. Nothing bad to say, nothing overly good to say but I would go there again. Worth a try if you need a quick bite before grabbing a movie.

I've been three times now, the first was my 10 year anniversary where I was served a tough, raw rump steak. It was re-cooked and while it was tough the first time it was cooked, the second time I could barely cut it. Manager's excuse was that rump is a terrible cut of meat, actually it can be quite good if your chef knows how to cook it!

Second time was for a birthday party where the staff were rude and more interested in chatting amongst themselves. I complained, having had enough of paying a lot of money for very little. The restaurant was very responsive and provided me with a voucher to try again.

Went again last night, was served a raw eye fillet to a medium rare order. It was re-fired, came back charcoal on the outside and still raw on the inside. Kitchen staff delivered food to the table, holding the plate with a finger covered in a dirty blue band aid. Also, don't order the profiteroles, horrible.

All in all, the place has a lot of potential if they can learn to actually cook a steak properly and have consistency in their service. Personally will never return. A real shame but there are many great places in Canberra that deserve your money.

The service at Portia's is like none other in Canberra, excellent without being stuffy! The food is many steps above ordinary chinese food with sizzling black pepper beef an absolute must! Portia not only owns the place but works it as well with her friendliness and can do attitude, she and her staff contributed to our evening. First time here and it's going to be one of my regulars I can assure you!

Courgette is what it is, a high priced fine dining restaurant. The food is cooked and prepared to perfection but found it a little stuffy. Service is very good. Personally not my cup of tea but the food and service is very good, needs an injection of life.

A family run restaurant that could do with a facelift as it looks a little 'hole in the wall'. However, been going here for many years and the food is excellent. Try the black pepper beef and you won't be disappointed. A small asian restaurant that should be given a chance, you won't regret it.

This small take away/dine-in restaurant delivers more than expected. The menu is tiny but the food has such a depth of complexity. Try the Simply Pho and a Taro Bubble Tea, you won't be disappointed! The ambience is excellent with mo-town music softly playing, the whole place put a smile on my face! This one will make my favourites list easily!

Now this is one place that I don't want people to know about! It's excellent each and every time. 'Gus' greets you at the door and is friendly, remembers your face and makes you feel like a friend at home. Finally a restaurant in Canberra who believes in consistency! The food is always good, service is the same and it's a comfortable and enjoyable place to eat.

Five stars in my book. Try the beef fillet, you'll thank me afterwards! Parking can be a little difficult so plan your travel time accordingly.

La Scala is consistenly terrible. The service is slower than my grandmother crossing the street and most of the time the food is worse than a bad bistro. Was given a $200 gift voucher at the last visit to make up for a terrible experience, went back and it was no better.

I'm amazed that this restaurant has lasted as long as it has, if I was running it, I'd start with sacking my kitchen staff and the waiters. Re-do the menu and start from scratch. I would keep the chicken stuffed with brie, however, providing they learnt how to cook it properly more than once.

The only thing going for La Scala is the location and setup. Waste your money on a cheap case of beer and a packet of cigarettes, it'll taste better.
