Lucky & Pep's, Newport

Since the move to a new location, next to the Newport Scout Hall. Lucky & Peps has really come of age. Good menu, reasonable service and terrific outdoor seating (traffic can be a bit noisy, though). We had the garlic prawns, a pizza napolitana (love anchovies) while our friends had a marvelous collection of dishes that left them raving. One problem though, there was no Grappa available for my Cafe Correcto, so I had to settle for Sambucca in the espresso A really good meal.

Great local Chinese restaurant. Worth a visit. Their Hot and Sour soup was perfect for a cold, windy day. Central heating for the soul. Service was magic and the cost reasonable. A definite re-visit is in order for me.

Been going there since it opened, about 20 years ago. Never disappointed, as the food is always of the highest quality and the service attentive. Probably the first Vietnamese restaurant in Sydney, and to my mind, the best. Stuffed chicken wings and the garlic rice-divine!

Good local Chinese. Takeaway is generally nice and hot. Portions good sized, and the Salt and Pepper squid is delightful. Good value and unpretentious.

Very well turned out modern Italian, with a good selection of meals ranging from gourmet pizzas to some very unique veal, beef, pasta and salad dishes. The service suffered somewhat due to a lack waiters. Good for the family, if you don't mind waiting...food was great, service...well, yawn...
