Average food, average service. 6 of us had dinner here. Some dishes lacked flavour, one was drowned in oil. There was absolutely nothing flash about this place. Perhaps, pizzas are their specialty? The waiters were distracted by the entertainment in the mall and forgot they had customers to wait on. There are much better places to eat at in Broadbeach. Disappointing.

The sushi here is fresh and there is so much variety. We regularly eat sushi with the family and I must say it did not disappoint. There were so many dishes to pick from and every serving was delicious. The restaurant is clean and the waiters are happy to be there and very attentive. It must be a local favourite judging by the amount of people eating there and the line up. I highly recommend it.

Had dinner here with our 4 kids. The staff were extremely accommodating and pleasant to deal with. Koi offer kids meals which our kids devoured in no time. They had kids size Tempura Barramundi and chips and a mini Fillet steak and chips. We started off with the Thai style oysters which were amazing. I had a rib eye steak which was cooked perfectly and hubby had the fish of the day. My meals were washed down with a couple of glasses of the Peppertree Merlot.

Sadly there was no room for dessert which I regret. Koi is an inviting, modern and very trendy restaurant and worth every penny. We ate out every night during our stay on the Gold Coast and Koi would have to be our favourite restaurant.

This has to be one best Thai restaurants I've ever eaten at. The dishes are fresh and flavoursome and the portions are reasonable. We ordered 4 dishes plus fried rice which were plenty for 5 of us. There were plenty of kid friendly meals that were chilli free. The staff are pleasant and the food arrived at our table within 15 minutes of ordering. The restaurant is furnished with woodcarved seating and Thai style furniture and decorated traditionally. It felt like I was having dinner in Phuket! It was a bit pricey for Thai food though, but the food was great. We also ordered take out on our last night on the Gold Coast... It was that good!

Beauty Centres, Day Spas

This is a very tacky day spa. I booked in for a "deluxe" pedicure which cost $100 and at that price I expected deluxe quality products, treatment and service.

Firstly, I was greeted by the beautician who had just been on a cigarette break and not bothered to freshen up before seeing her client. The smell of cigarette during a treatment was definitely off putting. The "deluxe" pedicure consisted of a foot scrub, cuticle tidy and nail polish. It did not involve soaking my feet in water, I did not receive a foot or leg massage and I had a choice of 4 colours which seemed as though they had been sitting there for months.

6 hours later, the polish hadn't even dried which proved the polish was way past its expiry date. I understand that the beautician was not to blame for the procedure and to her credit she was polite and did her best to make my experience enjoyable. I have regular pedicures and have to say that this was the cheapest experience at the most expensive price.

At $100 I really expected Deluxe, the works. The pedi bars in the local shopping malls offer more value for money and better treatment. I left the salon disappointed and realised that pedicures are a service that they are not interested in and the $100 price tag is meant to scare customers away.

To the owner, if this is a treatment that you are not interested in or isn't popular you should consider removing it rather than giving cheap and tacky service. I wasted a lot a money for a lot of nothing.

Had dinner here on the weekend. The waiters were friendly and accommodating, however, it did take a while for the pizzas to be served. The pizzas were standard as was the wine list. Make sure you BYO. We had kids with us which didn't seem to be a problem at all and we felt quite comfortable having them there as they are very kid friendly. Yes the restaurant is loud, however, as one reviewer mentioned, it adds to ambience. Great Nutella pizza for dessert and good coffee. Would return for another family night out. The kids loved it.

Had dinner here with a group of friends last week. The food was fantastic. Being a large group, we had the banquet and everything was fantastic. Servings are a bit small from a Greek restaurant, however, there were so many courses that it didn't matter by the time it got to dessert. The service was fantastic. Staff are very attentive. Would go back.

Went with a large group so we had the banquet where meze keeps being served throughout the night. The food was average, okay but nothing outstanding. Service was excellent and staff were very friendly and accommodating. The Greek band played most of the night and being such a large and very loud (and drunk) group, we decided to dance which I guess added to the ambience and in turn encouraged other patrons to join in.

Visited the Hunter Valley a couple of weeks ago with some friends and had dinner here on a Saturday night. The service was fantastic as was the food. It's been a long time since I've had a really satisfying and tasty meal. I had Venison for the first time and was very glad I chose this dish. Served as a pie, it was very well cooked, fresh and full of flavour. The side orders suited their dishes and I must say that all 6 of us were happy with the meals we chose (especially the beef dish).

The restaurant itself is dim, cosy and colourful. The waiters were pleasant and quite accommodating when it came to our kids and their meal. Not a place where you would take young kids, but we had no choice. Nevertheless, they served them a mini version of their slow cooked beef and they were just about licking their plates. Will definitely return on my next visit to the Hunter.

Dined here for the first time with a group of friends. Our table wasn't ready when we arrived but we were happy to have a drink in the bar area while we waited. The cocktails are divine - especially the Bruce Lee Ice Tea! Had one of the banquets as we were eight. The food is very fresh and delicious but be prepared for chilli. If you are not into chilli, then this place is not for you. I would rate all our meals a high for heat.

The view is pleasant and the waiters are extremely attentive. Make sure to order the Otak Otak (fish in banana leaf) and the Szechuan Eggplant - Awesome flavour! Will definitely be returning.
