There is a sign out the front of this shop informing customers that 'due to the rising cost of produce, we have had to increase our prices' so I was quite surprised to find that the ingredients they used on their pizza were tasteless and obviously 'homebrand' - the olives on my supreme were unmistakable for their revolting flavour, also the pizzas were soggy. My husband and I were both equally unimpressed.

Best chinese for money in Sydney! Most chinese really overcooks the veges, but here they are always plentiful, crisp, fresh and tasty accompanying flavoursome classic meals like Mongolian Lamb or sizzling Garlic Prawns. Yum! Cooked lighter than most chinese places, more like Thai in that respect I think, the cornflour isn't overdone so the dishes aren't too thick. Salt and Pepper squid also nice but a bit greasy for my tastes.

The special fried rice is really lovely and only $7 for a massive plate and it couldn't taste better. Although you respond to a beeper to collect your meals, the cook comes out to make sure everyone is happy, so you can see he takes pride in his work. Quick service, cheap drinks, and outdoor seating for us dreadful smokers! What more could you ask?

Very nice ambience and well priced. However, our chicken satay was raw in the middle and had to be recooked. Also raw were the potatos in our curry. As these were the only two meals we ordered - really not a very good strike rate for the chef!

Jabar does the best Indian food, nicely decorated place with the lighting just right. Waitresses are not too over the top but nice - for example rather than hitting you with the rice per person, our waitress suggested our table of four would be satisfied with rice for two. Also icecream afterwards for free was very nice.

I found the waiters overly familiar and a bit intrusive/annoying. The food was fresh, nice and reasonably priced. But the attention can come off as insincere as just so friendly like you are part of the family and what ends up happening is you feel like you have to be really generous with the tip. Call me cynical but I prefer low-key waiters so I am not suspicious of their motives.

We had the duck done in orange and cinnamon which was extraordinary - the flavours balanced each other out perfectly. Everything else was also fantastic and a much lighter style of Chinese food than the norm (though the price is still the same!). Great, polite, non-intrusive and helpful service. Very impressed and can't wait to try everything on the menu.
