Went to this place on a Friday around 7:30. I highly recommend you make a booking as it was packed and there was about 3 groups waiting for tables, always a good sign.
We started with the Beef Pho noodle sound and the stuffed squid, highly recommended. We then had the prawn pancake and curry, both of which were excellent.
The restaurant is a little on the noisy side, but well worth it for the food and very prompt service.

Great coffee. Highly recommend it for coffee lovers. Food is also great, but menu can be a little limited as they have a small kitchen.
Mornings are really busy with people getting takeaway coffees but they have opened up a second takeaway only place next door that seems to have helped this along. Really great spot to relax.

Went to this place for my birthday dinner on a recommendation from a friend that had been to one of their sister restaurants in Potts Point.
It is a cute little place attached to a pub in Surry Hills, and by first impressions it looks nice. We went on a Monday and it was still about half full which I thought to be a good sign.
There were daily specials and we went for the salt and pepper squid, and then tried a few dumplings. The squid was a little ordinary and was very heavily fried, little more KFC than a dumpling place.
The other dumplings that we had were very rubbery on the outside, and the filling was rather solid like it had been reheated. We had to send the beef dumplings back as they were just inedible. I don't think I have ever sent a dish back in my life. When the waiter explained to the cook he just scoffed and went about his business. It was then that I figured it out.
I kept hearing a door open and close, and I realised that it was good old Chef Mick (AKA The Microwave) doing all the work. When our last dish arrived you could tell it had just been microwaved, even the plate was hot from being reheated. The only thing that was passable was the poached chicken, but it was a very small serving for $16.
Overall we were very disappointed in what we got for about $50. If you are after a dumpling place do yourself a favour and head down to something in China Town just 2 minutes away and give this place a miss.

Tried this place on the weekend as we had seen it previously when we want to a Mexican place across the road. Wasn’t sure what to make of it initially but was pleasantly surprised to say the least. I have been to wild fire at the rocks before and although I liked the style of the waiters coming around to tables, the service was really slow and you didn’t get to actually eat much.
This place was totally the opposite, and great as we were starving. Food came around after about 1 minute after we sat down and it was amazing. I am a big fan of chorizos and that was actually the first thing that came out. They had about 10 different things if I remember- rump, chicken, sausages, baked cheeses.
Friends had some of the cocktails and said they were really good. I had some south American beer which wasn’t bad at all. For $35 a person it was a bargain considering how much we ate and the fact that we were turning away food at the end. Will definitely be back at this one again.
