Inexplicably popular. From the queues outside every night as we walked past, we thought we'd have a great experience inside. What a disappointment. The sushi was at least freshly made, but the time we had to wait for it was way too long - forty minutes for a salmon roll! Items off the grill were burnt and/or dry. Service from the Japanese staff was friendly enough, but the European traveller masquerading as a waitress needed to learn some customer skills and the basics of the cuisine she was serving. Look and marvel at the length of the queues, but don't step over the threshold.

Fairly average Thai food delivered in a fairly average way. On the plus side, prices are pretty keen.

In a street where mediocrity seems to be the name of the game, Milagro stands well above the crowd. Excellent, interesting range of choices populate what is a fairly short menu. Service was knowledgeable, attentive and friendly. The food was fresh, vibrant and made you remember what eating out should be like. The wait between courses was probably a little too long, but other than that this is definitely a 'must visit' if you're in the area.

Quick, cheap, cafe-style environment. Quick service and quick turnover means you won't wait long for a table if they're full when you arrive. The menu is primarily noodles and rice dishes, tasty with some interesting options. Not somewhere you'd want to linger long at (we had a big table of about twelve people alongside us and it got pretty noisy) but for a quick bite to eat before going to the nearby movie theatre this is definitely a good option.

A popular place, despite its unprepossessing exterior. Good food at reasonable prices, albeit at a fairly slow pace. Friendly, knowledgeable service. Recommended if you're in the area.

Great food, good service. We went on a busy Saturday evening without a booking and they managed to squeeze us in.

Service was prompt and efficient and the food was first class. The menu has a good range of options, we chose our 'favourites' for our first visit but we'll be back again for some wider ranging choices. The restaurant was noisy when it got full, but not so noisy you couldn't converse with others at your table.

Costs are on the high side, with the sashimi particularly expensive, we spent $120 for enough food to satisfy three. Some interesting looking dessert options which we didn't have time to sample, another good reason to visit here again. Staff were friendly and no sign of the bad experiences reported by others below.

Low prices, but quality and service that matches. Despite a menu that shows a huge range of dishes, the conveyer belt (on a busy Friday night) carried only about 10% of them. We did try ordering from the menu, but it took ages to come and the portions were tiny. If you want to grab a quick bite at lunchtime it's probably a good option, but don't bother waiting for a seat during the busy evening period, it's not worth it.

I've had lunch here a couple of times recently - once takeaway, and once at the Sushi train. Based on my experiences, I'd go back here again if I was in the area.

Takeaway was good value - $12 for a bento with Sashimi and the usual trimmings plus a small serve of one of the hot dishes from the counter. Quality was OK but it wasn't exactly exciting.

The next time I waited (not long, less than ten minutes) to get a seat at the extremely busy Sushi train. The quality of food here was much better and, whilst I'm not sure about the authenticity of some of the offerings (cream cheese in sushi?) the quality and range of choices was amazing.

Not cheap but definitely worth trying if you've got a good excuse to spend a bit more than usual at lunch time.

Slightly cramped, but quick and friendly service and excellent food. Tempura is excellently grease free, other dishes are very authentic. We came here because our first choice restaurant that day was fully booked, but we will be back!

Not a good experience. A group of us booked two tables for lunch. Despite there only being a handful of other diners, service was very slow and the food, when it did arrive, was generally not good, chicken and steaks were dry and overcooked, pasta was dry and floury. Prices were on the high side. Location is nice and there is plenty of competition on all sides, so they really need to up their game if they want to stay in business.
