One of my favourite place to take friends to - the delicious food and the incredible price never fails to impress. Service isn't great but it is extremely efficient - as mentioned, the main ball game is in the value for good food. Kitsch decor definitely makes it more fun! Braised dumplings, eggplants in special sauce and fried noodles are definitely recommended.

Good food for an excellent value. Expect slow service as it is a busy place - we didn't seem to have much trouble getting service even though it was a busy weeknight. But if you have a quiet dinner in mind look elsewhere. Although for such a value for good food and a quaint ambience in the cosy and bustling setting, almost anything is forgiveable.

It is a wonder why Royal India is quiet during weeknights - from our experience, we think it should be teeming with customers! It's a true gem - my friends and I are definitely coming back.
The restaurant has a simple and elegant decor, so from the outset it appears to be top end fine dining place. However, the reasonable price says otherwise - four people ate to their hearts' content for around $15. Service was excellent - we were very well attended to by the friendly waitress.
Most importantly the food was very delicious! Chicken tikka was succulent and tender. Chicken Khorma was a standout as well. We bought some Indian beer from the local bottleshop to complement the dish (B.Y.O) and it was a very enjoyable experience.
