We went here tonight to shake off the memory of a hideous other Brazilian BBQ restaurant we recently visited. I say that this restaurant did the trick.

Although it was very busy, being a Saturday night, the girls were running around the restaurant keeping everyone well fed and retaining a cheerful face regardless.

The food was abundant and served hot and delicious, and we were inundated with wait staff wanting to offer us something. (one word of advice if you are trying this style of service for the first time, restrain yourself, it's ok to say no if you are feeling overwhelmed as they will be back later with the dish again! We learned that tonight).

The meats were well cooked and juicy, the pineapple a welcome treat which has a way of refreshing you between meats, and the potato was just divine. Believe it or not, we decided to have dessert and chose the bbq banana with caramel sauce. Yum!

The manager works the restaurant, ensuring everyone is happy and that makes such a difference. All in all, a very nice experience and one we will be happy to repeat.

The first thing you feel when you walk into this restaurant is confused. There are no clear signs on where you are supposed to go to be seated, so you hover around just at the end of the first aisle hoping someone will take pity on you. They don't, of course, so you turn left and hope for the best, because that is where the cash register is and you know someone will come to that part of the restaurant sooner or later.

We were approached by a young guy who asked us if we had parked in their underground parking. When we said we had, he looked really scared and told us to go and put a ticket (which he gave us) otherwise we would get fined. Uh, yeah? By whom? So, once my husband came back from placing the ticket, the manager came out and showed us to our table. Wow, not a bit of friendliness or welcome there at all! He looked as miserable as if he had lost all his money on the stock market that same day.

After we were settled at our table, we waited. Over 1/2 hour passed when we finally asked a waiter running past what we had to do to be served. He took pity on us and put us in the "loop" of the food, although that still was very sporadic. The food was nice. The meat was anyway. The rice left a lot to be desired, cold, with shriveled pieces of carrot and peas. A thimble full of salsa and a small bowl of beans completed the banquet.

The worst part of the whole experience was seeing how miserable the wait staff looked. After meeting the manager on our arrival, I understand why, but it really made us feel bad. The waiter that looked after us by bringing us the only food we got that night was lovely, friendly and cheerful, but everyone else looked like they were serving at a funeral.

I'm giving 4 stars for service on this, as they belong only to the waiter who looked after us. He would get a 9, the rest ruined it for him. I wouldn't go back to this restaurant again. Ever.

Extremely disappointed. The calamari (entree) was plain old chargrilled + bare. Flavourless. For mains, Mediteranean risotto had minimal chicken (3 pieces) + chorizzo (3 pieces). The tomato "paste" was overbearing and not as described in the Menu as "sun blush tomato". The fried pork fillet with capsicum, shallots + chilli in blackbean sauce was nothing special and was comparable to the cheap chinese t/away places you find in the larger shopping centre food courts.

The waitresses were dour + whats up with the decor? You have this beautiful old house to use as a restaurant and you strip it of all personality and install cheap decorations with no thought to the character of this house. Not going back. Promise.

We dined here last night. I had the Moroccan lamb and my husband had the duck. Neither of us could fault our meals. The lamb was so tender it melted, the sauce it was in was just delicious, spicy, tasty and flavoursome. The duck was tender and well cooked. All in all, a very nice experience for us. We had a nice NZ Pinot Noir which topped it all of beautifully. No complaints here!

Hubby and I were looking for somewhere different to dine last night and found this place on the net. Of course I read the recent reviews, I always do. I was a bit concerned but then realised that the bad reviews seemed to be about the service and not the food, so we decided to give it a go.

Gary (the owner) met us at the door and although we already had our minds made up on which meals we were going to have, he convinced us to try the Yum Cha instead.

We were so glad we did! I have to say that the calamari and the tiropitas were the Best I have ever had! Hubby is Greek and totally loved the tiropitas as well (best ever he reckons). I could have eaten them all night!

The meal as a whole was lovely, the service great, no complaints at all. I got my wine in a wineglass. We walked out fit to bursting and if I had one suggestion to make to Gary it would be to play some Greek music! Modern or classic, it wouldn't matter, but it would enhance the experience.

Thanks for a lovely night!
