Took a sickie off work *cough cough* and had a craving for peking duck so found a friend still in uni headed over for some duck!

So lets talk about the duck - short story... Great duck! Skin to meat ratio was spot on... the skin... oh that crackle and snap sound it made as I rolled that pancake up and put it in my mouth was wonderful...

Ambience - meh its a chinese in and out kind of place... want atmosphere go somewhere else - want good this place is ok.

Service was fine - not good but normal asian standards.

Now the price was about $44 for a peking duck with your choice of noodles for sang choi bao... normal pricing on peking duck starts at about $60 so this is quite cheap by standards but it doesn't skimp on quality!

I heard the ques are crazy on the weekend so best to avoid.

I ate here not long ago and had the pork ribs to compare against rib and rubs, I'm gonna say they were quite average in comparison.

I definitely want to go back for the burgers so I'm not going to comment on that yet but if you want ribs better stick to the R&R franchise.

Service is counter service so nothing amazing to comment on there. I'll write again when I've had a burger.

Food: the food came out quickly (maybe too quickly) and you can certainly tell it's pretty much all been microwaved and whacked onto a plate - gross.

Service was fine - the place was empty so I wouldn't expect anything less that good. The wait staff was nice and always smiling.

I had the meat balls and paella, meatballs were ok, paella on the otherhand, if you mixed rice and a slurpee from 7/11 you would have the consistency of the paella I had.

Again its microwaved and put into a pan and then put into the oven for a few minutes...don't think we cannot tell guys, give us more credit. Lucky I had a voucher because if I paid full price I would have cracked it!

Go across the road to somewhere else, there's a reason that place was full and this place was empty.

My friends and I ate here last night and had an amazing time. The food was so delicious and the servings were quite large. Good selection of mexican beers and tequila. It was a bit annoying that to get a reservation you have to ring up and leave a message but they did call me back later in the afternoon. Service lets this place down as to get some attention you basically have to stand up and wave down a waiter but the food came out promptly so I can let it slide.

my tip: pass on the fajitas (not that they are bad) and get the Chicken sulza.

Il Buco, finnally a great Italian restaurant somewhere you don't have to shoot yourself in the foot to get parking! Originally recommended to me by a friend a while ago, I've been back a fair few times now.

Food: Excellent food, very very tasy. Although my steak was not quite pink enough to be medium rare, it was still quite tender. The prawns that came with the steak were not overcooked and the creamy brandy sauce was fanatsic (not burnt). My wife tomato veal was nice as well. Next time I go I will try a pasta dish. Make sure you try the fried olives! They are fried with garlic and parsley - amazing!!

Ambience: This is a wierd one, it's loud but not joyous. Don't get me wrong if it was quiet then it would be awkward, there needs to be a few more laughs flying around from the staff to be great

Service: The service is actually very good, but I gave it a lower score because it can be a bit too much sometimes - I think it is because of the new managment as they weren't this overbearing before. Waiters aren't scared to recommend things over others which was good.

Value: total bill came to low under $95 for two mains with a few drinks, one side dessert and coffee's.

The one annoying thing: The drafty front door doesn't close properly and waiters had to keep walking across to close it. In short, it's a damn good Italian restaurant, a Norton Street killer. Keep an eye out for my other reviews.

Food: entree were the curry puffs, very average if you want a good curry puff go to an Indian restaurant I say.

Mains: the massamun beef curry was great, meat was tender and moist with great flavor verging on the line of being just a bit too hot, but I like it spicey. Thai No1 chicken special was also good, had me plunging my fork in for more. The prawns in chilli paste were a let down though. They felt like they weren't fresh and the home made chilli paste tasted a lot like tom yum paste so I'll leave that to you.

Ambience: quite a small operation, but I do like how they have the chefs out in the open cooking in front of everyone, it makes you feel like they have nothing to hide which is always a good thing. With all the flames going off every few minutes, it gives the place a nice smell and leaves you asking "I wonder what they are ordering"

Service: wasn't too crash hot but in these types of places they never are. One nice surprise was a second pot of white rice for free. It wouldn't have cost them much but the gesture itself was very nice.

Value: all up including drinks it was about $65 to feed 3 grown men so for over 20 a head it wasn't that cheap - although to their credit we all were quite full - might have been from the extra rice though.
