Stunning, elegant tapas combining the finest ingredients in innovative dishes. Restauranteur and head chef Hiro, shows his sensational form with a menu where small dishes are shared allowing us to sample many items.
I dined with a party of three, and the staff were excellent, with water glasses always full, helpful assistance and recommendations when ordering and in particular, a wine recommendation that I will definitely go back for - the Barbara from the Victorian high country (light and silky red).
We ordered eight dishes between three as well as bread which was a perfect amount and fantastic value. Tapas we sampled included swordfish served with tomato, lettuce leaves filled with crab meat and apple, lentil salad (sounds simple but I have truly never tasted anything like it) and the spectacularly soft and flavoursome Wagyu beef served with ground almond sauce. After dinner, coffee is of Atomic Espresso quality - Toby's estate - aromatic, fresh ground beans and a strong, full taste.
Next time when we return we will try the dessert. This is truly fine dining fare - expect to be impressed!

I always order the seafood linguini. It comes in a foil and paper package steaming hot from the pizza oven with tender linguini with a lovely tomato-based seafood sauce including scampi - delicious! Burnt butter pasta is also great and vegetarian.
This is a great restaurant for a casual and appealing Italian meal. Highly recommended!

The best coffee. Guy is a talented barista with amazing personality and skill and chef/owner Hiro is formerly of Tetsuyas. I prefer this coffee to all other coffee.

The quality and variety of Chinese dishes is great, and the provincial style is savoury and delicious. There aren't enough good quality local Chinese restaurants like this, Golden Rose really stands out.
Seafood and vegetable dishes are consistently excellent, and the specials list suggestions are really special. There are so many restaurants that try and fail with traditional Chinese but this is a safe bet for a great dinner. Take away is excellent value too but rice portions could be larger so I always order extra. The wine selection is fine and prices are average.
Highly recommended for large family or group gatherings.
