Certainly worth trying it once in your life. The truffle dipping for the bread rolls at the start of the course were an absolute delight, the texture and flavour just explodes on your palate.

The first few seafood courses were cooked to absolute perfection, all the flavours combined very well. The signature dish ocean trout was, however, a slight let down as I expected it to be the best dish on the menu, it also becomes a bit repetitive and bland half way through the dish.

After the seafood dishes it just went downhill, Tetsuya's definitely not specialised in meat. Both the quail and angus beef dish was a bit dry and slightly bland. As for the highly rated ox tail and sea cucumber, you can go to any chinese restaurant and it'll taste better, sea cucumber also had a slight fishy taste. However, I would still rate the meat dishes 8/10, just not good enough for a top 30 restaurant in the world.

Service was impeccable at Tetsuya's, the waiter's were so attentive and when ever you need service they just magically appear next to you, it's like they can read your mind. The timing of taking away the dishes and bringing the next course was also perfect.

The price was a bit overpriced for the, would not pay such a dear price for any of the current dishes on the menu, there was no dish that makes me want to taste it again. However, would consider going back to Tetsuya's when they have a new degustation menu.

Overall 5.4  78

3.5 Below Average

Worst service ever, food was below average and definitely not worth the price we paid for! Went with a group of 16, they gave us 1 menu between the 16 of us, and when I asked for more menu, they only gave me 1 extra menu. Around 15-20 minutes in, no waiter bothered coming up to ask if we are ready to order, so we decided to call the waiters to come, took 3 attempts of calling someone before they came to take the order.

After ordering food and drinks, we waited 40 minutes+ for the drinks to arrive? and that's only after we nagged them and demanded for our food and drinks. Also when we asked for water, the waiter refused to give us water because tap water was not free of charge, so we had to agree that we are going to pay for tap water if we wanted any. Overall, shocking service and disappointing food.
