There is nothing wrong with good honest food, generally well cooked and presented. That is what you get here. However, the share plates are a little over priced and the lamb shoulder was dry, it would have benefited from a gravy boat with a jus or sauce to support the delicate meat. The fish pie is worth every penny and it was the stand out dish. I would only share it with true friends or close family. The taste plates were stunning we had beetroot salad, scallops and tuna all were tasty and just set the pallet for the next course of share plates.

I love the setting and the gardens are a restful break from the hustle of Ocean Street. Well done Matt and all the team both in the kitchen and front of house. A memorable dinner and I love the idea. Thank you.

Since my first review of this venue in January 2012 when I brought my husband to the restaurant for dinner and we had such a great evening, We have gone onto use the restaurant for a family function and tonight we had the opportunity to have the most of the restaurant for a 21st - Jeff and Xanthe as well as all the front of house and kitchen staff could not have been better, a great night had by all.

Thank you again for making it such an easy event. This is one of the best local restaurants in the area. Thank you from all in the family, our menu was a hit with everyone and allowed good choices for even the pickiest of diner, the wines were fantastic and the service was attentive, nothing was too much trouble. We will be back.

I, however, would like to maintain my original review so it follows. We shouldn't tell anyone about this great local restaurant, then we could have it all to ourselves. The menu is beautifully balanced to allow for the pickiest of diners to find something they will love, serving sizes are great to allow someone like me to have three courses and not feel like a blimp. After being here now several times I am constantly plotting to find an excuse to go back, Thank you to both front of house and the magicians in the kitchen.

This is the second time I have dined here but a first for my husband. I was excited to return as my first experience is still fresh in my memory and was great. We were not disappointed, as we were taken to our table my husband was overwhelmed by the setting.

The overall vista is spectacular and beautifully enhances the dining experience. We loved the menu and especially the instructions to diners about children and water dragons, totally agree, the venue is not for uncontrolled children but having taken children there previously, mine still also talk about the wonderful experience they had.

Now to the food - we shared our choices to allow is to enjoy more of the tastes on offer. We chose the pork belly and the watermelon salad, both were great examples of flavour fusion with the key elements of Thai/SE Asian cuisine and only increased the expectation for the next course.

Here we chose the soft shell crab and the chilli jam chicken. The soft shell crab was an interesting presentation with the crab in a rich creamy sauce that needed to be accompanied by rice. To finish this dish it was supported by deep fried whitebait fritters and lime. The whitebait texture was great with the creamy crab but just overwhelmed it a bit, it would have been better to have less (of course we could have left what we didn't need on the plate).

The chicken was smoky, succulent and generous, the accompanying condiments enhanced the tastes. The only addition I could suggest for this was to add some greens, a personal think only, I love greens with such tastes to help balance the richness.

Whilst we would have loved to try dessert we could not do this course justice, the choices were tempting but we both had had sufficient so whilst they looked tempting we will need to visit again to try them. Next time we may choose 4 entree size dishes and leave room for dessert.

From the time we were greeted and taken to our table the front of house staff were attentive and helpful. They support the kitchen and food and provide helpful information when required i.e. the need for rice to accompany certain dishes. I purchased two cook books as they make excellent gifts and I am a keen cook so will try to find the time to come to a cooking class next time we are in Qld.

Directions from the Bruce Highway would assist visitors find you in the dark of Yandina. Thank you for another memorable evening.

Wow, this is a beautiful venue, ideal for the tropical climate and the menu reflects a well considered balanced use of local produce, tastes and textures to give a truly memorable dining experience. Both the chefs and front of house should be congratulated, if I had to find fault it would be to delete the paper table covers over the table cloths and rely on the linen you already use. Thank you, we will be back.

We returned to Maisies with good memories, we were greeted by an efficient enthusiastic waiter who organised an outside table for us and then took advantage of the lobster special - it was well cooked and good value. No complaints, memories intact.

Great spot for lunch, away from the hustle of Hastings Street and with the benefit of the sea breeze. We had the salt and pepper squid and the beef salad, both luscious accompanied by a glass of champagne and a very cheeky pinot gris, what more could even the pickiest diner want, linen - done, comfort - done, good service - done, view - done.

We will be back - thanks.

Wow, we had the 6 courses and were treated to a taste sensation, the fusion of flavours and textures was a dining delight. Both the trout and smoked lamb were equally good. The wine list is complementary to the food and the front of house staff are knowledgeable about the food they are serving, attention to detail is a plus from the time you walk through the door, you are special. Thank you for a beautiful evening and I will definitely be back.

Another great evening at the Devonshire, now been here a couple of times and it is consistently very good, front of house attentive and efficient supporting an excellent menu and the food is always a culinary taste challenge that leaves you talking about tastes and textures. We tried to taste our way around the menu but still have some surprises for next time. Well done.
