We had lunch here using a Living Social voucher and were very impressed with the decor, service and meal options. It was great to see a varied cafe menu with very reasonable prices. Being a local, I'll be sure to stop by in future for economical breakfasts and lunches.

I used to really love this place and their tasty crumpets offered something different to the usual breakfast options in Coogee. On our latest visit this past weekend, however, we were disappointed to find service has gone downhill. We could not find a clean table to sit at and the waitress had to come over and clean ours once we were seated. We also waited a long time for our orders to be taken and watched in frustration as other patrons who arrived after us were tended to first.

We had to call the waitress over to finally take our order. Thankfully the food is still good but the disappointing service means I probably won't be so keen to dine here in future.

The food here is of a high standard and our group found our wait staff to be very friendly, helpful and efficient and nothing like the reviews below. Staff regularly came by to clear plates, refill our water and generally check how we were going.

We ordered chicken wings, ham croquettes, patatas bravas, chorizo, empanadillas, meatballs and paella for two. Despite other reviews, we found the food to be fresh and did not appear to be reheated. It's true that the food comes out fairly quickly, which may cause some people to be suspicious, but as someone of Spanish descent who's familiar with cooking many of these dishes, I know that with the preparation time involved in most tapas dishes, it's necessary to prepare dishes to a certain extent in advance and complete cooking close to serving time.

The meatballs for example would've had to be slow cooked over several hours, so it's likely they have a large pot simmering in the kitchen which they serve portions from. Likewise, dishes like the empanadillas and croquettes would need to be prepared a bit in advance but most likely dropped into the deep fryer when ready to be served as an order.

Overall, I'd definitely dine here again.

Didn't particularly enjoy our bbq experience at this restaurant as it was difficult to cook the food (particularly the chicken) sufficiently without charring it. Seemed overpriced considering we had to do the majority of preparation.

Might be better ordering fully prepared meals off the menu but I won't be going back for bbq.

Small and busy restaurant with good food. Found their pippis to be very good value, a much larger serve than you get in a lot of restaurants.

Good Thai food and good value. Whilst slightly more expensive than some other Thai restaurants, the servings are large and if you order a prawn dish, it's served with large barbequed prawns.

Recently discovered this place and it's become a regular favourite. Their Sicilian eggs are just divine and we're slowly working our way through other items and enjoying them all so far. Coffee is excellent and we've also purchased a gelato cake that was delicious.

Dining upstairs in the restaurant, the food is great but the service can be a bit hit and miss. The staff tend to get overwhelmed during peak dining times.
Highly recommend the baccalhau (salted cod in tomato sauce) and also (of course) the charcoal chicken. The beef espetada is also very good.
