Went to these guys last night for take away. Had been numerous times before and always found the food quite good and value for money. Last night we ordered beef satay sticks (to be told there was only chicken that night and no apology), and chicken penang.
Once we arrived home we discovered our main dish was only half full (normally full), and were lucky to have 5 pieces of chicken and a few vegies. Most of the container was full of sauce. Not impressed at all. Will Not be going back. This place used to be great, last night the people were not friendly, and food was pathetic.

Haven't been to Olivo in a few months, but last time we went it was exceptional! Definitely my favourite restaurant around. A bit upset about the negative feedback left on here by a couple of people with vouchers. I just hope people aren't put off by this. A wonderful restaurant and can't wait to go back on the weekend.

Went here on Easter Sunday for a coffee, and considered a snack if it looked nice. We got a table easily enough, but no one wanted to serve us for a long time. Decor was interesting, but there were loads of flies in the place. Cool/ trendy look type place. Coffee was Ok, but no rush to return.
Adding another review because for some crazy reason we returned, I guess hoping for the best. Went back for breakfast on the weekend. We had to wait a really long time for our coffee, and then our breakfast arrived. I only ordered toast as I wasn't after anything huge, but it arrived Cold. And one piece looked like it was straight from the loaf and they couldn't be bothered toasting it. If you're paying $5 for two pieces of toast you expect it to be cooked and preferably warm at least.
On top of that there was a tiny morsel of butter provided on which to spread over my cold bread and no hint of vegemite, jam or anything at all.
Following the cold miserable breakfast we were game enough to order another round of coffees,. I guess to warm us up as the food definitely didn't. 25 minutes we waited for our next round of coffees. Not impressed at all. Save your money, go elsewhere. Anywhere but here!

We went here on Good Friday - following a miserable day weatherwise, and most places being closed, this was a delight to find. We managed to get a seat in the front window - perfect for people watching, and had a garlic pizza to start, and a chicken pizza for our main to share. Thought we could always order another later if we were still hungry. We weren't. The garlic pizza serve was huge (we weren't complaining!). It was just delicious, and so moreish. The main pizza was equally as good. Service was great, friendly staff, happy to be there, made us feel very welcome and we weren't rushed to move on.
Highly recommend this place. Variety of food you won't be disappointed in, reasonably priced drinks - especially during happy hour, and delicious pizza.

We went to the mountains for the easter long weekend, and with terrible weather and lots of places closed, it was a godsend to find this cute little place. Struggled to get a seat inside for a while, but we persisted and weren't disappointed once we did. We both ordered the minced beef burgers, and wow! Once we saw them come out we were a little disappointed, they looked tiny and came with a garden of green salad leaves and balsamic.
As neither of us particularly like balsamic, we were horrified. The burgers were too big to eat with our hands, so we attacked them with a knife and fork, and mixed in those salad leaves. What a delight! The balsamic was sweet and not overpowering, the burger was delicious, the caramelised onion, melted cheese, aoli, eggs ... oh my. I wish we didn't live so far away, I'd go back for another one today.
The only real let down was the lack of drinks available on the menu. Most beers were sold out on the day, only leaving one or two options. As the weather was so bad outside, we were in no rush to move on, so worked our way through what was available.
I also wasn't leaving without trying the chocolate banana pudding with icecream. Yes, I left a little more chubby then when I arrived, but we had a lovely time. The staff were friendly and attentive, and happy to be there.
Will definitely return next time we're in Katoomba. Highly recommend for a fun little bite to eat.

Used to love this place but over the last year or so, it has gone downhill a lot. Food is overpriced, and isn't as good as it used to be. It's still OK, but not worth raving about. I'm on the look out for a new Chinese.
