I don't really eat pizza here but the take away gelato is to die for. Some of the best gelato in Sydney in my opinion. I took my American friend here for it and we had to come back for seconds a few minutes later. With gorgeous mouth watering sorbet flavours like white nectarine, green apple and peach (all apparently made fresh everyday) what's not to love?!

How can you not love Harry's? Regardless of the long lines and water rats running around nearby this place just freaking rules, if anything the rats and throngs of drunks adds to the ambience!

You will find all walks of life here (especially past 1 am on a weekend) savouring the deliciousness that is Harry's.. mmmm it's perfection on a paper plate, the flakiness of the crust, the slightly spiced meaty sauce, the heavenly hearty chunks of beef, the whipped mashed potatoes and delicious pond of gravy, truly what dreams are made of after a night on the booze.

What dreams are made of. Nothing is better than Doyles Fish and Chips. I'm no longer in Sydney but their fisherman's basket is what I still dream about!
Nothing compares to the lovely perfectly battered fish and yummy crunchy chips with their signature plum sauce. One downfall is the price, it's gone up quite a bit recently and the calamari is now breaded not battered like I remembered it to be. Still great though!

I honestly used to love Bills until recently. Maybe they were busy, maybe just pretentious, I don't know. But where on else would this happen? My breakfast was $35 for two people, fair enough. I gave the waiter a $50 note expecting to receive change, after waiting around for 10-15 minutes for my change so I could leave, I walked up to the counter and was told by the rude waitress that my change had been put into the tip jar! yes, all $15 of it.

I always leave a tip, but taking my change and putting it into the tip jar without asking me is a joke. When I asked for it back the waitress was so horrible about it. It totally ruined my day. I ended up writing to Bills and complaining about it. If it wasn't for their formal apology I'd never return.

Is there a better Thai restaurant in Sydney? Everything I've tried at Nina's is unbelievably flavourful and delicious. There's no wonder why I've been coming here for years and I live closer to Newtown where there are a hundred Thai restaurants that don't even compare to Ploy Thai.

Highly recommend the chicken with cashew nuts and chilli jam. Slighty sweet with a bit of heat, the chicken is always perfectly cooked and the cashew nuts lovely and crunchy. I haven't had the boat noodle soup in a long time but I remember that was also very rich and delicious. Love it!

I used to eat here very often back in the day, breakfast was always good and the ingredients used seemed very fresh. Lately it's gone a bit downhill though. Everything is way greasier and the place is starting to look a bit shabby around the edges.

I adore the pumpkin or squash ravioli with the burnt butter and sage sauce. Haven't had it in awhile but I still have dreams about it. I hope this stays on the menu forever. Had a gorgeous piece of salmon here once too. Perfectly cooked. Some of the freshest cleanest tasting salmon I've ever tasted, quite a small portion though. All the ingredients served here are such high quality. The vegetables tasted like they were picked that day. Gorgeous food, gorgeous atmosphere. Worth treating yourself to!

I have been coming here for years and still love it. I'm a sucker for the breakfast with potato/hash brown cake, truly hits the spot after a night of boozing. Nothing better than a Barmuda flat white and a table outside on a warm sunny day.

I would move in here if I could. Adriano Zumbo is truly a mad scientist! Everything I've had here is nothing short of amazing. I'm always surprised at the unique and bold flavour combinations and the flawless presentation of his creations. His patisserie is the best landmark in Balmain by far.

Corelli's never disappoints. Chilled out atmosphere, delicious home style meals and large portions. They do a great iced pineapple mint frappe too!
