Fantastic coffee and the chef/owner is a lovely, pleasant guy happy to chat. Always has new, nice sounding meals on the blackboard menu. Haven't eaten there but the coffee is the best I've had in Melbourne.

Servings are pretty scant and prices are quite high. They have a fairly static menu. I agree with other reviewer that it houses the local "it" crowd which can be off-putting for some. They do a great chicken caeser salad though!

Transport is a great meeting point in the city. It's a spacious, light filled pub with live music espeically during the summer - when it's mobbed! Has a huge selection of beers on offer. A really good pub to go to with friends or just for a quiet Saturday arvo drink. You've gotta go!

The food was fantastic but portions are quite small, especially the steak dishes which means you have to buy additional side dishes. I thought it was excellent value for money. 1 x starter to share, 2 x mains, 1 x side of fries, a bottle of good red wine and 1 x dessert = $100! We got one dessert free as the maitre d' asked us to move tables at one point. It has a lovely atmosphere and is candlelit. Advise you to book ahead though.
