Food 2 Ambience 1 Service 1 Value 1
Terrible. We would never go back. We went there last night hoping to have a lovely experience but were really disappointed. We were celebrating my daughters birthday and she is a chef so she was not impressed at all. The service was very poor. It took 1 and a half hours to receive our entree's and another hour to receive our mains.
On arrival there were not enough menus so we had to share 2 between the six of us. Our order for drinks took about another twenty minutes. One couple walked out and 2 other tables were complaining about the service and food. The entrees were good but the mains terrible. Old, recooked vegies were served and the pasta dish was terrible. We nearly walked out a couple of times but knew there was nowhere else to go. If only there was a Mcdonalds in Katoomba.
We were offered complimentary desserts but couldn't stand the wait. They would have been served at breakfast time. Thank goodness we have a good sense of humour as this is what got us through the evening. I nearly took up smoking as the wait was so long. We were given the excuse that there was an accident at Medlow Bath and this is why the service was a bit slow.
The waiter also mentioned that the we had to wait our turn as other people were in front of us. What? Stop making excuses Bon Ton and get on with it. We will never go to your restaurant again. Also it was very unprofessional of the waiter to "bag out" the old chef, saying he was getting a bit tired. We were extremely tired of your excuses and extremely tired of waiting. Very bad all round.

Food 3 Ambience 2 Service 3 Value 3
We had been to the Paragon before quite a few years ago and remembered the lovely food and ambience. We were very disappointed. The place is dull and awful. It is difficult to open the front door but then when you get inside you wish you hadn't bothered. Smelly, stale and musty are things that come to mind. The people serving looked untidy.
The menu was very boring and all I requested was a muffin but there weren't any. I just wish cafe's wouldn't put items on the menu if they don't have it to serve. I would never bother going back. All the chocolates in the window look sad, tired and stale.
