Loved the ambience of this place - unobtrusive chill music, great lighting and colour scheme, and best of all, we could hear each other speak! The service was also great - lovely people, attentive and friendly without being in our faces. Good menu too, with fresh and delicious food. We will come back!

We had a lovely night at the O'Town Kopitiam. This was our first visit and it reminded us of how much we love Malaysian food. Can recommend the roti chanai and the belachan beans - yummm, but everything was good and very good value. It was so good too to be looked after by such a lovely group of staff/family (it certainly had a family feel).
At the end of the evening they all sat down to a table full of huge platters of delicious looking food, made us want to go back to Malaysia, having been impressed with their wonderfully food-obsessed culture in 1982. We'll be back, O'Town!

Lovely fresh food and excellent value. We ate well (six of us) with just four plates! Delicious mixed veg plate had one of the best versions of hommous I've tasted - creamy and tangy, and the fattoush was gorgeous - crunchy, fresh and colourful. But (and it's a big but) the ambience let it down. The staff seemed uninterested in anything but the bare details of our order, and once they had delivered the food, kept away so we had to seek them out for further attention. The 'no alcohol' was fine, but the 'interesting Lebanese drinks' were not on the menu. Nor were there any sweets - and we had to work hard to have this confirmed. We were simply told 'not tonight' until we pursued the waiter and were told it wasn't worth keeping sweets as they were not often ordered. A bit more friendliness would have gone a long way. I suspect it might be most suitable for a very quick casual meal, not a 'night out'. That said, I would like to eat the food again, and it cost us very little.

Lovely little Japanese restaurant with friendly service and good food. A couple of suggestions, though - could do better with the music, as middle-of-the-road American music does nothing for the ambience. Also, a break between courses would be great, as it is such a pleasant place we don't want to feel rushed. But overall, an asset for Five Dock and we'll keep coming back.

Had a great night here with our dining group, delicious food, top-notch service and great music. We tried the zucchini fritters, the lamb patties and the whitebait for entrees, all lovely. Then various gorgeous dishes for mains, including the most succulent slow-roasted lamb shoulder, with an endless supply of lemony potatoes and beans. Connie entertained us with animation, while she described dishes and took our orders, and seemed genuinely delighted to chat with our group (even got the measure of Graham!). She's a treasure! We'll be back, couldn't fault this Greek restaurant, in a street known for its Italian food.
