We have been here quite a lot... I never know what to choose as everything I have had is always delicious, and everything sounds (and tastes) delicious. Serving sizes are just right and it is great food to share. Service is attentive. Like the other reviewers the location does feel a bit like eating outside a shop, but I quite like people watching. This is not fine dining, this is comfy dining with friends. Would highly recommend!

We had a pleasant evening here. We had a meal deal so it was great value.
I thought the cottage was a bit tired and some of the decorations could be updated. The service was fine but nothing I could really comment on as on several occasions we had to ask for drinks.
Each course was stated clearly, and the portion sizes were perfect. The first 2 courses were great but after that the steak was tough, woody asparagus, the desserts were melting and falling apart. So the food was a bit disappointing.

I went twice in 2 wks, once upstairs for a burger that I really enjoyed. Then the following week to the restaurant. On a Saturday night, the restaurant was not full at all and if I had have known the price I was about to pay I would have been happier to go down along the Wharf. I am not a wine connoisseur, (though do enjoy a tipple) I wasn't aware this was essentially a wine bar in the guise of a pub! This doubled our dinner bill!
The food was Ok, the service was varied. Some were great, some were verging on beginners. Also packing up a half empty restaurant in a pub at 10pm is a bit rude.

Reading the other reviews, I always feel that some people do not take into account they are in a cafe not a hatted restaurant. Read Ripples website and the first line in the blurb says "Alfresco BYO cafe"
I have been here many times (in groups and as a couple) and the food is fine, it may try a little hard but it does get over the line. I go primarily because of the location - I can never tire of the view. I love the value of the BYO, I like drinking wine, but I hate spending $60-$70 on a $20 bottle. Here I have my choice and there is not enough BYO with great views in my opinion. I will definitely be back!

We went on a Saturday night. Not only were we the only people there. It did not feel like a restaurant. I was in a week day take away bar. Mentioning Chocolate in a Pakistani restaurant... confusing? Food was OK, the service was OK. As we had already paid for the dinner through a voucher we had no choice than to eat dinner. This also had been advertised as Crows Nest - yeah right.. nowhere near. I reckon the only other people who use this place on the weekends would be the Pakistani cab drivers.
