Pretty good Thai fare. This is our local Thai so we eat here quite regularly. Unlike some other Thai restaurants, here, when you order seafood or fish, you really get what you ask for, they are generous with their portions and don't stinge on the seafood. Can't remember the proper names of the dishes, but try the prawns with sweet potatoes, prawns with asparagus, the fish fillets stir fried with chili jam and veggies, and good ol' chicken with cashewnuts. Service is a bit erratic, some of the waitresses do not speak much English. Ambience is great if you sit in the open-air section.

By far the best Thai food I've had on the North Shore. We eat at Spice Me Up once a month. They have a fantastic 3 course meal for $20. Their portions are quite substantial. Nice balance of veggies and meat in most dishes. The green curry is really good (quite spicy and not sickly sweet with an overdose of coconut cream), this is much closer to the green curries I've tasted in Thailand. The entrees and desserts are really good too.

Definitely top speed, our meal came out within 10 minutes after the order was taken. Ambience is ok but can get smoky with the flaming woks. The food is ok, not the best Thai and definitely not authentic, but the plus point is that each dish comes with a large portion of fresh vegies. They seem to be a bit stingy with their seafood portions though.

We have just returned from a lovely evening at Kaiser Stub'n. There were 6 of us in the group, including 2 native German speakers. Everyone was completely satisfied with their meals. I had the chicken breast with wild mushroom sauce, vegetables and spatzle. My partner is vegetarian so the wait staff put together a combination of spatzle, sauerkraut, roasted vegetables and a huge salad for him.

The other people in the group ordered the veal zuericher, meat dumplings, schnitzel and the sauerbraten, everyone was satisfied. All of the wait staff who served us were very nice, friendly and completely obliging. They had no hesitation in entertaining special requests. In fact, our group was given free entrees of tomatoes with spiced ricotta! The beers were very drinkable, the grapefruit weiss beer is highly recommended.

The desserts were fantastic. We could hardly fit anymore food in by that point but due to sheer greed, my partner and I couldn't resist ordering the apfel strudel with homemade ice cream, absolutely delicious! It was my first visit to Kaiser Stubn but it will definitely not be my last! I am already looking forward to my next visit!

This was one of our regular lunch-hour haunts in the city. The food is good - the various seafood dumplings are delicious, and so are the mango pancakes for desert. The ambience is poor because of the high noise level - this place is always packed to the rafters during lunch.

However, the service varies from being slightly acceptable to downright awful. I'm rating it 1 today because of my last experience at this restaurant. We found a hair on one of the steamed dumpling dishes. We spotted the hair before any of us even touched the dish. It clearly wasn't one of ours - nobody around our table had straight, long black hair.

When we called the waiter and showed her the hair on the dish, she just snapped and said she'd call the manager. When the manager finally came, to our absolute disbelief, he was not even slightly apologetic and actually said "this is a public place, of course there are hairs floating around." Absolutely shocking and unacceptable rudeness.

When we argued with him, he finally relented and offered to replace the dish. We were already seriously annoyed by that point and just wanted the item taken off the bill, but he refused and insisted on bringing the "replacement". We just got up, paid the bill and vowed never to return. Needless to say, I am never spending a cent of my money in this restaurant again.

I've been here a few times. The food has been consistently excellent, although the service is far from warm and friendly. It's also difficult to have a conversation in this restaurant because of the uber high noise level. Having said that, this is the best Szechuan food I've had in Sydney. Even my Chinese friends highly rate this place.

I've been here a few times. I especially like the garlic prawns main, which comes with a tasty tomato and cheesy sauce and some mexican rice. The fajitas are also nice enough. Simple, non-fancy but pretty tasty food. The atmosphere is probably not that great for a romantic date, but it's nice enough for a simple dinner.

I went to Arax recently with a group of friends. My friends who ordered the mixed platter were happy with their selection. I ordered the garlic chicken, which was very nice too - it came with a nice big portion of tabouli, houmous and baba ganough.

However, I didn't appreciate the delay - for some bizarre reason, my main course arrived a lot later than all of the other main courses on our table - my friends were close to finishing their mains before mine arrived. The staff were friendly and apologetic but I hope the kitchen will do more next time to avoid this kind of discrepancy.

On a final note, although the food at Arax is good, the prices are a bit on the high side for what you're getting. There's definitely better Lebanese food in other parts of Sydney for less than half the price.

I'm a local and have been to Epitome twice. Food was excellent on both occasions. The staff are also very warm and friendly, but the food was a bit slow in coming on my second visit. Still, the food was worth the wait. I highly recommend the garlic prawns, mango chicken (main), pumpkin ravioli (main) and the sticky date pudding. Yum!

I was at Two Good Eggs this morning. It was my first time. I can't believe how negative the other reviews are. I had a mocha to start with, followed by an omelette with cheese, pesto, spinach and toast on the side. Absolutely everything about the meal was perfect, right down to the multi-grain sourdough toast. The eggs were freshly cooked to perfection (the way I like my eggs) with a little bit of crispiness on the outside but moist on the inside. (Definitely beats the rubber-eggs I had at Bill Granger's place recently). The pesto was clearly homemade. Even the cheese was exquisite - some sort of crumbly white cheese (i think goats cheese) with herbs and a touch of olive oil. They even serve pink rock salt on the side.

So, if this isn't the usual standard of Two Good Eggs, then it is clearly my lucky day today because I have never had a better breakfast anywhere - definitely the best in Sydney. The service was also nice and friendly too. Having said that I was early so there was only one other customer when I went there. I'd recommend this place to anyone without hesitation, and will definitely go back there again if / when I'm next in the Surrey Hills area.
