2nd time went to Chophouse and ordered the same dish - wagyu Flank. Love the taste and the amount of meat just fit my stomach well. Chophouse also serve tasty salad and other entrees, but the price is bit pricey. The most impressive should be the dessert. the chocolates are just stunning. We went there with a bunch of friends and all of us have very great time.

Tonight just used my voucher to try this Indian cuisine. The food quality is stunning and I appreciated the main dishes I ordered which are very tasty. Me and my Partner ordered red wine with 2 entrees and 2 mains, a steam rice and cheese nann. I cannot make any bad comment of any of their good except the presentation of the mushroom dish perhaps need to decor a little. The services are very attentive and fast service as well. Waiter and waitress served professionally. We surely will come again in near future with my family again.

Came to Tokonoma with a voucher tonight with mum for her farewell dinner. I purchased this voucher and wants her to have a decent dinner in Sydney before her departure. This is not my first time to use voucher and obviously I saw the previous review that the service is no difference with the full-paid, then I made my decision to Tokonoma. Well, here we go.
First of all, the voucher indicated the degustation valid from 9th Jan. I sent an email to Tokonoma per instruction, then received a response that the voucher actually is not valid on the 9th, it has to be on 10th. As mum is leaving on the 11th, I immediately response and want to make a booking on the 10th at 7pm. 2 days no response.
I sent an email to follow up and explained the situation for this important farewell dinner for mum. How funny is I received a phone confirmation and says the booking is confirmed for the 10th at 6pm instead of 7pm per request on email. Fine, I decided to swift my working hours to work early fulfilling the booking error made by Tokonoma. How funny is on the 10th 10am (today), I received an email saying the booking is all fully booked. But then I received a phone message again that the booking is confirmed for the 6pm.
I was totally confused and need to call up Tokonoma directly about what was going on. Then the receptionist just said my name is down on the list so no problem for this booking. I have a feeling that the booking system is kinda messy.
Went in there and we obviously were the first customer. I have to admit the environment is quite nice, but each table are too close to each other. However, I think this is something you can't change as this is only a cocktail bar and lounge. The food is pretty decent. They made a very lovely lamb meat that mum was very happy about. The wine they served is a very good selection, easy to drink with tiny sweet taste. Love it.
Picture? Huh? Can't provide because how funny is the waitress stop me of taking photos of the food for some reason. I was thinking to check about the voucher if there is any conditions stating there before. But then found it the next table also took pictures to the food. I looked around, flashing everywhere and there is no stopping from the waitress anymore. This unfairness is absolutely a point down to Tokonoma and I am surely will share this unfair experience to my friends.
Nevertheless, I have to admit the degustation is quite nice and impress with the wine selection. 4 points for service as I have been greet by the reception and waitress helped to fill in wine etc. But extremely upset about the way they asked me to stop taking picture to the food but allowing other customers to do so.

I had the dinner with spreets voucher, the cost is almost buy one get one free. Usually if you are holding this kind of c=voucher, they do not provide the normal standard service.
However, I am very impress about their service. We booked our seat using the email, the response was received within 24 hours and giving me a very professional and friendly phone call to confirm. I also then received the email confirmation. When entered to Kingsley, we all greeted by their staff and had a warm introduction about how the voucher works. We had 3 rib-eyes and 1 sirloin. The food quality is stunning. The steaks were all well-cooked and very tasty.
The environment is very nice. But point down at the Female toilet, perhaps, the timing when I went there was wrong. It was quite dirty.
At the end, we also ordered desserts which were very tasty. But the price is a bit higher but worth the quality. Overall, I am very happy about their service.

Tried the buffet last night, the food seriously very below average. Its also makes me think that has the senior staff ever eaten Japanese food?
The Agedashi Tofu were cold, and very hard. The so-called stir fried octopus is also means boiled octopus very spicy sauce on top. Volcano roll also means mixture of sweet chilli sauce with mayonnaise covered the taste of katsu.
I'm very surprise of the busy environment. This is definitely not Japanese standard food at all. I spent 50 dollars (included sake) in which I rather to eat back in Town hall japanese restaurant rather than walk up to Wynard to have this kind of food.
