I don't usually like going to Chapel St on Saturday nights because it's a nightmare, full of bogans and drunk teenagers. But I make an exception when we're heading to BV&T. I go for the great food, but I stay for the vodka.

If you want a quick, simple meal, I recommend that you avoid this restaurant. If you don't have time to appreciate the unique, laid back BV&T experience, you should go back to Sydney.

Hmmmm, I don't know if we went to the same restaurant as the other reviewers. Nothing like a bowl of yoghurt with some meat bits hidden in it. Strange? Yes.
Tasty? Not even. Stop in for some bread and dip and run before the mains come out. Next.

I live in North Melbourne, but return to Hawthorn weekend-after-weekend for the banana bread with labna and ricotta hotcakes. W.O.W. Service is friendly and attentive. Great place for a good coffee too.

Depends if you're talking about the new 'den' or the old (they are on parallel side streets in Chinatown). Though the ambience differs dramatically between the two restaurants, one vital factor remains constant across both - the great food! Take along a few bottles of wine and a bunch of mates, and you'll enjoy every single dish.

Normal prices for a steak restaurant, service was good, atmosphere was fun, baked potato was spot on. Pity about the steak.

Heard rave reviews but was bitterly disappointed. The mains are tiny, the calamari was chewy and the meat was pretty dry. Taromasolata was great, but a Greek restaurant should offer more than just one good tasting dip.
