I love yum yum peking duck! What great food, the peking duck is sensational, the food so well priced. I love both Darra and New Farm. There is no ambience at all very basic eatery but the food to die for. The staff aren't greatly efficient but are super friendly. My major complaint would be, I have only ever once been able to get the black pepper beef, they bring me mongolian beef, hongkong beef but never what I order off the menu black pepper beef. Let me tell you though the mongolian beef and the hongkong beef are even better than the black pepper beef! So this mistake has never been an issue only a winner!

I couldn't wait to eat at Montrachet and I was excited and probably ready to forgive most sins, but my over cooked tough as nails duck was a complete disappointment. I am willing to give it another go though after having a terrific cooking class with the owner who cooked amazing food at the course. Back to the restaurant the food aside the ambience was nice although small and the staff attentive.

I love the Lab bar, it is one of my favourite places in Brisbane to eat. It is expensive, so it is for special occasions. The food is divine, the service fantastic, I love nothing more than to sit in one of the arch windows and share this wonderful time with my husband. He loves it too, it has an old world elegant feel. I love the duck salad with goat cheese tart and I love the old fashion specials like ox tail etc. We love the Lab Bar. I think what is also special are the staff, we have been going there for several years and you often see the same staff and they remember you this makes you feel so special. Well done.

It seems so welled priced until your tiny little meal arrives and you realise that the food is priced in proportion to the food so not cheap afterall. The food was average nothing to rave about but not bad either. We asked for dessert and we were told our table was booked and we couldn't have any! I really really hate that, we would have ordered our dessert half hour earlier if we could get the attention of the staff to take the order, losing money for the owner and putting patrons off side is not good staff. Pick up your game. I would give this place another go but my husband won't return.

My friend suggested Cross town and we organised to meet, I arrived and was told by the female greeting guests, that I couldn't possibly have a booking as they don't take them! I asked if I could look in side to see if my friends had arrived and she reluctantly said yes. I was instantly put off and wanted to leave! I am so glad I didn't! after her rude start the rest of the staff were lovely and friendly and explained things well.

The chicken with outside stuffing is one of the best meals I have ever eaten, please bring it back! Even the mixed greens were lovely and fresh and clean. I loved every mouthful of food and I highly recommend this eatery to everyone wanting a casual setting with outstanding food to share but not like tapas like a family or group of friends sharing a meal together. Amazing concept amazing food. I can't stay away now.
