I really loved the truffeled ricotta butter, yes, the trout was fantastic and I will certainly prepare snapper with roasted peppers and kingfish in black bean with orange zest at home in the future. Here lies the problem: Apart form not having the tools to vacuum food in plastic and slow cook, I never had the feeling that I got something I would not be able to cook myself. Have been impressed elsewhere a lot more. The amazing Japanese garden cannot compensate this.

I would always be happy to go back to Bather's. After two years I still remember these pieces of art I had as a starter and as a dessert.

The starter was a kingfish dream in sesame and green (a tower of cucumber, kingfish, a sesame wafer and on top whitebait tempura all accompanied by kingfish sashimi with green roe and sesame), the plate told a story and technically it was beyond anything I could produce. The dessert some incredible chocolatey with mini pears and way beyond something I could produce. The main had let us down.

Never had at somewhere else the feeling that I eat something that I can't cook with some effort (ok, I don't have the plastic clows-cooker stuff).
