Food 9 Ambience 9 Service 3 Value 2
Went here with high expectations for first time for my birthday as a group of 9. Food did not disappoint, ambience was wonderful also. Service was spotty and value even worse.
Mentioned upon booking 4 weeks earlier that we were using our Entertainment card. Upon arrival mentioned we were paying by Citibank and would like to utilise the free bottle of wine offer. Waiter got the order wrong, despite checking 3 times although made up for it with a complimentary entree.
At end of evening we pulled out our entertainment cards and were told couldn't use Citibank and Entertainment offers together. Was told wine was $22 but received bill and it was $40. Was also charged $6.50 cakage which we knew beforehand, but charged $10ea to our 3 and 5yr old for their cakage. When we queried the bill with the senior staff, he said "we can't give you free main and free wine. We have to get something out of you."
Disclosure of the offer conditions and actual cost of products (wine, kids cakage surcharge) before ordering would have been appreciated. Won't be going back.

Ambience and service were great. We had 2 small boys with the party and the staff were most accommodating, giving them pencils to draw with. The restaurant has an intimate, earthy feel, which is exactly what you expect in the Hunter.
Unfortunately, the food was lack lustre. We ordered mostly vegetarian and the gnocchi and ravioli dishes were boring and the flavours rather bland. The pumpkin tartlet was disappointing in size, cost and taste. I can, however, give the award to the molten chocolate pudding, which was the highlight of the night. My best friend and I were licking our plates!
As the food was nothing special, I've given it a 6 in value. (Would have been lower had the pudding not been so divine). Too overpriced for food that fails to impress. However, thanks to the owners for offering the mains in two sizes.

Went here for our 10 yr anniversary and was a bit disappointed. Ambience and location was fantastic, but the 4 orders we had left us underwhelmed. It was nice food, but none of it had any wow factor.
$42 bought us a chocolate lava cake, mousse trio, chocolate milkshake and iced mocha. Was hoping the lava cake would rival Trellini's, but didn't even come close. Personally I'd head to Castle Hill for lava pudding and then Max Brunner for coffee afterwards, all of which would be cheaper and more far more rave-worthy.

Went here for my best friend's 30th recently, and had a mixed experience. Pros - fantastic location, decent portion sizes, friendly staff, tasty food. Cons - food is overpriced compared to what you get elsewhere, flexibility to customer requests very disappointing. They don't offer free water, despite cooking your food in something that isn't San Pellagrino. Waiter asked when we sat down if we wanted still/sparkling water, and we said not right now.
She then removed our glasses for the rest of the evening. We bought a birthday cake and were told cakes weren't allowed. They were advised at time of booking that it was a birthday, yet failed to mention that byo cakes are prohibited (which would have altered the choice of venue). They could at least charge cakeage. Not exactly the memories we wanted our friend to have. Because of their cake issue, they missed out on several dessert and coffee orders that was spent elsewhere.
Had a better experience elsewhere for more food and $30 less, so won't be coming back here in a hurry.

Took my in-laws to Harvest last Thursday. Restaurant was quiet so service was fantastic and prompt. Food was phenomenal. The mustard ravioli entree was worth licking the plate and the lemon gnocchi main was even better! It cost $92 a couple for 3 courses, but every bite was worth it. Have eaten here 3 times and never been disappointed.

For some reason our group was expecting a restaurant with belly dancers and authentic surroundings. Not so. It's more of a takeaway fish and chip shop feel. Not recommended for romance or a special occasion. However, the prices were cheap, the portions generous and the taste was amazing. Best lebanese I've ever had. The garlic sauce with the entrees hits a powerful punch. We loved our meals but it's a bit too casual for us to come back.

Food, we had vegetarian and all the dishes were tasty. The samosas were a bit dry and the red lentil dahl was very runny, but upon giving our feedback to the manager he brought out a complimentary dahl that was much thicker (and the dahl was the pick of the dishes).
Ambience, very noisy when the place is full. Found it hard talking to our friends.
Service, staff were friendly, although 2 staff is not enough for a busy Saturday night. Kitchen was slow in delivering the meals. Had to wait about 30 minutes for drinks, another 30 for entrees etc. Great attitude, but obviously quite understaffed.
Value, Bill cost $120 for 6 of us (no meat, no wine). Not bad, but not fantastic either. Middle of the road.

We went here for a birthday party last Saturday. The restaurant was crowded and therefore very noisy. We had a pram and when it was parked at the end of our table, it was touching the next table. The decor was modern and nice, but the noise level is what prompted me to put a 7 for ambience. The do have a tv on the wall for kids though. Kept our 2yr toddler quiet all night, so that's innovative.
The food was really good. We had mango chicken, fig lamb and vegetarian red/penang curries and 2 stir fries. They don't have a very big vegetarian menu, and there's no tofu listed. You actually have to ask for that. The spring rolls are amazing.
Service was very spotty and inconsistent. We ordered drinks and they came after the entrees. The waitress had to ask whether we could substitute chilli jam (usually with a meat stir fry) on the vegetarian order and whether we could have tofu. It was hard to get their attention. On the other hand, they put our birthday cake in the fridge and bought it out after dinner at our request, using their own candles and sparklers and dimming the lights. They really tried hard but it was hit and miss.
Value was excellent. We had 3 entrees, 6 mains, drinks & rice for $22 each. All in all, I'd go back again. However, I really think the restaurant would do well to remove some of the tables to facilitate more customer space, reduce the noise levels and give better service.

The food here is really good. The vegetarian chilli jam was my favourite dish and friends really liked the chicken penang as well. The prices are reasonable and the surroundings have a modern cafe feel, without the Thai music.
They even gave us 2 complimentary black rice puddings because it was my husband's birthday. Whilst I wouldn't recommend the pudding, it was a lovely gesture and very unexpected. I'd definitely recommend this restaurant to friends.

Went here with high hopes and came away really disappointed. Location is excellent, service was good but the food was overpriced and underwhelming.
I'm vegetarian so I asked if the chef was able to do some alternative main if I didn't want the veggie tasting platter. The answer was no so I was stuck with the platter. Any other reputable establishment would have, at least, offered to throw a veggie entree together with some mash and salad, or improvised with what they had.
Whilst the menu descriptions sounded tasty, the main vegetarian tasting platter left a lot to be desired. There were 3 things on the plate, zucchini flowers, risotto pattie and a tomato and buffalo mozzarella salad. The zucchini and risotto were enjoyable (albeit too small) but the tomato salad was pathetic. It consisted of one whole, unripe tomato, cut in half and garnished with mozzarella and a basil leaf. How unimaginitive. I could have made the same thing in 30 seconds in the middle of Coles!
The entree of goat's cheese salad was enjoyable (again small) and the lavender creme brulee was the best dish of the night. Mind you, we still left feeling a bit peckish and not completely satisfied.
I'm glad I went once for the ambience, but I don't be going back unless it's for coffee and dessert. This place may be great for carnivores, but it's woeful for vegetarians. We've had better meals for half the price.
