I was a 'take a way' customer of this establishment for many years without complaint. I have only dined in once and there will never be a second. On arrival my wife and I ordered our food and drinks, (drinks ordered from the menu was a glass of Riesling and a glass of coke).

The waitress was not very friendly as if she did not want to be there that night. The food came out before the drinks, food was a little average considering I have eaten from there many times before. I asked the waitress twice for our drinks. We had almost finished our mains when I again asked the waitress for our drinks. She came back with two glasses of water and two glasses of what looked like some kind of spirit mixed with coke. I asked the waitress what it was and she said it was what I ordered.

I repeated to her we ordered the Riesling and showed her on the menu what we had ordered. She came back with warm cask wine and poured the wine onto two glasses and left the two glasses of spirit on the table. All we wanted was a glass of riesling, a glass of coke thats it. As I was driving I didn't want the second glass of wine or the spirits that I didn't order. We asked for the bill and we were charged for 2 glasses of wine, 2 glasses of scotch and coke.

I questioned the bill to the waitress as I didn't see the regular senior staff who use to look after the till/take a way orders. She claims it was what we ordered and had to pay for it. I understand we all make mistakes but this waitress was pathetic. My recommendation is to order take away.
