This is my office local and it's a shame I don't drink coffee! but I love coming hear for a quick lunchtime sambo, my fave being the chicken, celery and walnut one. The boys here are always super cool and friendly, they even give hugs if ur feeling sad! keep up the good work, really wish there were more places like this in Sydney where service and quality of food is at its best.

Great place for some fresh and quick vietnamese food. Went to the one in regent's place last night which is pretty cool as they have ipod and macbook chargers as well! Service is quick and friendly. I defo rate the steamed prawn and scallop dumplings as well as the beef vermicelli salad. It's a cheap and healthy alternative to the junk food around that end of town.

Went here after a tip from my aunt. Decor is really lovely, in fact it very much reminds me of mad cow at the ivy! whilst the ambience is great, what is truly lacking is the service. The waitress was in such a hurry to take our order, she didn't listen properly and we ended it up with the wrong dish!

Nevertheless, she was quick to rectify it and bring us the correct dish. We had fish cakes for the entree, yummy but the size was not practical as its the size of a giant gold coin. We also had a fantastic mixed seafood dish with peppercorn, it was delicious and the 2nd main of chilli jam chicken and beef stir fry. Also very delicious. I would be happy to go back for takeaway but I doubt I would go back for a sit down meal as the service was pretty appalling.

Read about this wonderful place in last month's gourmet traveller magazine. Just around the corner from me, this cafe is fantastic. The decor is very new york loft/warehouse ish which is nice. Had a lovely vego baked eggs with goats cheese, black beans and a lovely olive turkish bread. Quite a large portion and just a lovely homey meal. Complimented by fresh organic grapefruit and coffee. Staff are so relaxed and make you feel so welcome. I will be back here!

Really love this place. Whilst on a relatively busy interaction, it manages to tuck itself and is quite peaceful. Pricing is excellent considering the area is so over the top in terms of pricing. $7.50 will get you 2 poached eggs and 2 pieces of yummy sourdough toast. Service is quick and the staff feel like a nice big family who make you feel very welcome. A must go for all the locals and visitors to surry hills!

Oh I really wanted to like this place but I'm sorry it was awful! The owner is bangladeshi and we got chatting as we're from the same country. He knocked $7 off my bill and gave me free poppadums. So I really wanted to write an awesome review but the food was a huge let down. I was just craving some indian takeaway after a long friday at work and the Clove was on my walk home.

I ordered the chicken biryani and the lady finger dishes. The biryani had so much tomato and it was a just a gooey mess of tomato mushed up with overcooked rice swimming in oil. It was horrible. The lady finger dish was just as bad, it was raw and swimming in oil and tomatoes as well. Sorry, for a takeaway joint this ain't it. But hats off to the owner for making conversation and making me feel welcome!

Wasn't overly impressed to be honest with Cafe Mint. Rocked up here after a a short stroll along crown st. We wanted to try something different. Service was sloooooow, we kept having to ask for service. Had the lamb sausages and the lamb kebabs, to be honest, not a lot of flavour. It was something I could have cooked up at home with a tin of tomatoes and peas! however, it was nice to have loads of veggies.

I would say it's overpriced given the portion sizes are really tiny. Also had a peach ice tea, I think it was just a lipton ice tea with a piece of peach, pretty unimaginative! they could do better here if they got the flavours in the food right and better service.

From the outside, this place looks unpleasant and dirty. But once you step inside, it's a well oiled machine! Great food and excellent service, which is hard to say at any yum cha place. The food is fresh, the staff don't hassle you and it's just a great place for some inexpensive and yummy yum cha. Best to go here just before midday though after which is starts to get really packed!

Very disappointed about this place. Have heard some rave reviews and was left wondering who had given this place the rave reviews! we had the zucchini flowers for starters, a bit tasteless and oily I was left unimpressed. The mains weren't any better either, had a horrid chicken and corn toasted sandwich with rocket. Tasted gross and once again super oily. Service was great but the food was such a let down and at extortionist prices, I won't be back here.

Came here for brunch in a group of 8. It was absolutely packed but only after a short 5 min wait, we were promptly seated. Service was great, however, you could tell that everyone was under the pump because the waitress mixed up a tea order twice and very shortly told us that water was self service which was quite rude!

Food was great, most of us had the uliveto breakfast with free range eggs, chicken chipolata, grilled tomato and thick slice of crusty bread. All yummy and cooled off by having a nice fresh watermelon juice. Love the buzz here and will defo be back!
