Visited The East for dinner before heading to a show at the Opera House. Great Chinese food, lovely attentive staff, an overall lovely evening.

We went here as a group for a birthday dinner, we were advised to have the banquet menu and preordered in advance. The food was pretty good, but as a vegetarian I find it weird that you have meat look/taste alikes, its not necessary!

Service was pretty good until the end when we were charged for an extra person but not told originally that changes in numbers required 24 hrs notice. I chose this restaurant mainly due to the photos on the website and scores for ambience, I have to say this was the biggest disappointment, its more like sitting in a carpark filled with tables and chairs and if you have a boney bum it sure ain't comfortable after a while.

I can see how spring/summer outside could be lovely, but inside is a cold concrete pit, far from ambient in my opinion. A different experience and one I am still undecided if I will try. again.
