I dont eat as much Chinese food as I used to (more into Thai and Vietnamese these days)...but Tai Pak has is definitely one of the best Chinese restaurants in Sydney! Everytime I'm in the Chester Hill area visiting friends, we order some take away from there (occasinally eat there). They make the best damn Fried Rice (Shanghai Fried Rice is good also) and the best speciality on the menu is the Tai Pak Mountain chicken. Delicious!!!!!!!!!! The chicken + egg soup aint bad either!

I've been at Da Vinci's a number of times and it's always been a good experience. I know a lot of people of Italian heritage who come a fair way to dine there (and who recommend it), so it cant be that bad, huh? My personal recommendation is the Aussie Pizza and the passionfruit gelato wrapped in chocolate. Very nice!

I agree with most of the reviews on here....this is a very good Thai restaurant! The menu is a bit limited but the food they cook is as good as you'll find anywhere in Sydney (or in Thailand for that matter!). I haven't been able to get there for a while now....but when I used to work in Parramatta I'd be there at least once a week. Actually this has just reminded me that I have to make a return very soon!

I stop-by here on a regular basis (once per fortnight or so) for some great tasting beef noodle Pho soup. For only $8.00, its great value! Occasionally I try something else from the menu....and I dont have any complaints about that either. The restaurant has nice atmosphere and fast service (I try to avoid the busy times of the day because the premises are fairly small). I would definitely recommend it to anyone.

I've been a huge fan of Vietnamese food (and Pho soups especially) for a couple of years now, after discovering it during a trip to Canberra in a well known restaurant there called Little Saigon (not there anymore). Since then I've been a regular visitor to a number of Vietnamese restaurants in the Cabramatta and Canley Heights area. I've even got the recipe off the internet and managed to successfully cook it on a couple of occasions.

Recently I received a tip from some Vietnamese ex-workmates that the An Restaurant is the best place in Sydney for Pho soups, so naturally I had to give it a go... and I must say that I wasn't disappointed! I went there twice during the last week and I must say that it was as good (or better) as any Pho I've ever had.

Yeah, at $11.80 it is 2-4 bucks more expensive than everywhere else I've been to...but on the other hand the portions are about 10-20% bigger than other places (more meat and huge bowls!). I was able to finish it, but a couple of people I went with had trouble! I was full for the next 12 hours...and thats saying something in my case! The price included the usual pot of tea but also a glass of water and the chilli-oil dip, which you dont get everywhere else.

The restaurant is large, clean and air-conditioned (though it could do with a bit more "Vietnamese ambience"). Nothing wrong with the service either....actually probably better than any Vietnamese restaurant I've ever been to. More than enough helpful (English speaking) waiting staff with welcoming smiles and my soup + drinks were sitting in front of me within 2 minutes of walking into the place. Same good service when it was time to pay and leave. What more could a man ask for?

One good thing I noticed about the place (which I always watch out for in restaurants) was that more than 90% of the customers were Asians of Vietnamese appearance (one would think that they know where to go for a good Pho!)

Afterall...I wouldn't go into a Pizza restaurant if I didn't see any Italians in there!....:-)

Anyway, this place gets my full marks for the food and service....and I'll definitely be going back for MORE!
