Pretty good coffee. Great service, efficient and friendly.
Food is of good quality but serving sizes are very small for the price. My husband got french toast which consisted of one medium piece of sourdough and a peach for $20, More expensive than the cafes at Bronte Beach in Sydney and half the size. Therefore, recommend for coffee, but go somewhere else for breakfast.

Ate here on a Saturday afternoon with my husband. The only positive were the happy hour drinks.
The food was very average and extremely overpriced. Portions were minuscule. For example Garlic prawns were $16 and we received 5 average sized prawns that were pretty tasteless.
Service was efficient enough, however, an hour after sitting at the table the waitress came and told us we would have to move in 20 minutes as the table was reserved at 6. I feel she should have told us this before sitting there. So many better restaurants in Newcastle that offer delicious tapas. My recommendation, have a happy hour drink and go somewhere else to eat.

Went here NYE with a few friends. Was worried that 3 servings of tapas per person wouldn't be enough but we were so full at the end. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. The only thing I could fault them with was there over priced mocktail which was nice but it was just a glass of juice for $14.

Not much to say other than this restaurant gets everything right. Always consistently fantastic in all areas. I took my father and his partner the other night and they couldn't stop raving about it. Keep up the tantalising food and 5 star service Atom!
Response from Management:
Hi, thank you very much for your kind words, and I am very very happy that your dad and his partner enjoyed the food and the service. Thank you for introducing us to them.
We look forward to welcoming you again very soon.
Cheers,
Atom

The staff were quiet efficient and friendly and the I liked the feel of the cafe. However the food was very unimpressive. Really wasn't into the cold frittata and cold pasta that were dumped on the side of my dish that had nothing to do with my order. It was like they were getting rid of left overs. I would of rather they made the dish I order properly eg not cold and uncooked in the middle.
As for the coffees, they were the worst we've had in sydney - burnt and so hot it almost scalded your lips. The cappuccino was more than half white foam and not creamy at all (if you've drank coffee in England you'll know what I mean). And I don't want old blueberries on the side to eat with the coffee.

I went here for high tea with a voucher I purchased on Jump On It a few months ago and really wished I hadn't wasted my time or money. Lucky for them it had already been paid for (hence, the voucher) or I would have walked out and refused to pay when they brought out the food.
The scones, as someone else said, were like rock cakes. The meatballs, quiche and spinach triangles were tasteless and just warm. As for the sandwiches, well I've had better at service station on the pacific highway 10 years ago. They were premade, cold and as my husband said "just not nice". It annoyed me when the waiter claimed that all sandwiches were made fresh. As I'm pregnant, I couldn't really eat them because I can't eat cold meat. So when requested, they made me some fresh cucumber sandwiches, which were much nicer as the bread was soft and not cold.
The dessert or cakes were just as bad. They tasted like something you would buy from the bakery at Coles, but even worse, as they tasted stale. The only positive was the waiter who was quite friendly and attentive.
Maybe they just gave us all the bad/old food as we had a voucher, but if so not a good idea, as I will be telling all my friends and colleagues not to even think about it. I would rather pay double the price and have a fantastic experience at the qvb or the Victoria Room. Don't understand how this business is sustainable and still open.

For our Xmas party I decided to book Almustafa after a lovely dining experiene back in September. My colleagues and i were extremely satisfied with the whole experience.
The food was delicious, fresh and plentiful. Great for both vegetarians and meat eaters. The setting was relaxed and fun, with everyone enjoying a bit of belly dancing. The service couldn't be faulted in anyway. The staff were friendly and efficient and the waiters quickly brought more of any requested dishes (except the meat as this wasn't part of the deal).
As for the value I think $52 per person is great value for a massive (pretty much all you can eat) mouth watering banquet with byo, in a great venue with entertainment, fantastic service almost right in the city. I wouldn't hesitate to book another function there and recommend it others.

The food at the gallery is good, but not worth it when you have to deal with the unfriendly wait staff and slow service. There are many other cafes I would go to in Annandale or the surrounding area before this place would get my time and my money.
Note to staff - it's your job to smile and be friendly. If you do you may even get a tip.

I recently booked our staff party here for just over 20 people. We were all very satisfied with the food and quantity. Absolutely delicious - haven't had Indian that nice since I lived in London. The service was pretty good. The wait staff were very effiecient (even if they weren't to friendly and didn't smile much). They even provided 3 seperate bills for the table as we ordered in groups.
I will definitely return to this scrumptious Indian restaurant.

I've been going to clover for breakfast for over a year. I find the owner a very welcoming and genuine person. Just moved to Bondi, so I don't get to go there as regularly, but when I went over last week the food was as good as I remember. Had baked eggs with chirizo and goats cheese and my husband had french toast, and though his bread was quiet chewy compared to usual, we were still very satisfied. We've probably been to breakfast there 40 times and been very satisfied 35 times. Just wish it wasn't on the otherside of town.
