I put 9 for the food review as this place has the most delicious bakmi (indonesian-style noodle) in NSW, that's for sure. They even have a website about the history of their noodles, interesting. Best noodle, best value, highly recommended, enough said.

I absolutely love this "tiny" restaurant. The cold dishes are mouth-watering. Try the marinated pig ear, my girlfriend is always craving for it. I love the tofu n cucumber dish, very relishing. I notice the price has changed, as now it costs $3 for one cold dish, but it doesn't really matter cause the savory taste is totally worth it.

My favorite meal is number 19, crispy fillet chicken lunch-box, add another $1 for a cold green tea and you'll have a delightful lunch ever. As for service and ambience, I don't really care about them, this place has the best food and value in Sydney, I do believe.

Here I will give a full comment based on the menu I ever tasted

Entree
1. martabak telor - the beef fillings are well-seasoned, but sometimes the crepe is overcooked. it is recommended

2. lumpia udang - simple prawn springroll, satisfactory

3. lumpia sayur - not really worth it, add $1 more and you're getting the one with prawns

4. lumpia seafood - savory, the seafood fillings are tasty but the fried beancurd skin is even tastier

5. asinan ubud - an indonesian style of salad, worth tasting, one of my fav

6. bebek ubud - this looks like peking duck with pancakes, the only difference is the sauce. tips: try to get a taste of the sauce before ordering ;-)

7. calamari rambutan - squid ball, just a little bit fancy. the dipping sauce is quite nice though

Soups
1. sayur asam - sweet&sour soup with vegies. worth trying, one of my fav

2. sup jagung & kepiting - I never try it, to be honest, but it probably has the same taste as the one in chinese restaurants

3. soto ayam - chicken soup, one of my fav, decent taste, best eaten with fried chicken and white rice

Satay
1. sate ayam - chicken on skewers, with peanut sauce, best served as entree, the peanut sauce is mouthwatering

2. sate kambing - same as the description above, only with lamb, if you don't like the smell of lamb, forget it

3. sate sapi - beef on skewers, unique taste (somewhat sweet) and it doesn't come with peanut sauce

Curries
1. ayam kalio - basically a chicken curry, quite aromatic, decent taste

2. beef rendang - fragrant beef curry, mild-to-spicy taste, some people like it, I loved it

Fried chicken
1. ayam goreng ubud - a fried chicken, with some sambal sauce, worth trying

2. ayam bulungan - taste like a marinated chicken, and the sambal sauce is much better

Fried seafood
1. ikan balado - deep fried fish, quite spicy. the balado sauce is addictive

2. udang balado - deep fried prawns. same as above. but, few prawns (around 10 or 12) wont satisfy my stomach

3. cumi balado - same as above, only with squid

Grilled seafood
1. fish/prawn/squid bbq - highly recommend the fish and prawn, cause the bbq squid is too chewy, sometimes

Grilled meat
1. kambing bumbu ubud - lamb cutlets with some sweet&nutty sauce, appetizing. the lamb cutlets are usually tender and its a plus that they dont smell

Vegetarians
1. gado-gado - mixed vegies with peanut sauce, one of my fav

2. kangkung cah - morning glory, stir-fried with shrimp flavour, is A MUST TRY

3. terong balado - eggplant in balado sauce, yum

4. lodeh - vegie curry, so-so

5. cah sayuran - stirfry mix vegies, one of those in chinese restaurants, not bad

Fried rice/noodles
1. nasi goreng special - full-flavoured fried rice. tips: order it with extra chilli, and make it an entree, cant get enough

2. bakmi - stirfried noodle, for someone who prefer noodles rather than rice.

3. kwetiau - stirfried rice noodle, same as bakmi, just a difference in texture

4. bihun - stirfried vermicelli noodle, same as bakmi, just a difference in texture

My other favourite
1. udang goreng mentega - king prawns in sweet&sour sauce with a hint of butter, rich in flavour

2. sapi cah cabe - beef slices in some sweet, spicy, and nutty sauce. tempting. tips: dont over-eat the sauce

3. brokoli cah sapi - tender beef cubes, sweet&peppery taste, simply delicious

NB:

Ambience
the decorations on the wall are absolutely captivating, with the balinese music. close ur eyes and ure in bali

Service
a very friendly owner and manager. but sometimes it looks like there is a shortage of waitress

Value
a bit pricey for me :-(

That is all I can share, hope you all have a good time

Things u have to order: Kikil - pronounce "kee keel" (beef with softbone, in a curry-like sauce), absolutely delicious. Tempeh - very tasty, u gotta love it, and its suitable for vegetarians.

As for value, it is not really that great (it used to be, when they were in the old location). Food costs $9.50, minimum. They do serve drinks but it costs u another $2.
