We live in the area, really like this dining room, but have avoided for some time, due to a couple of very slow brunches. However, recently took a table for 4 for dinner, and was impressed with service, speed and food. Can byo wine which is a bonus. The food is very tasty and interesting, and the dining room and setting is lovely.

Dined here for Bastille Day, taking the matching wines with the 8 course degustation. Not an inexpensive nor a short dining experience, but all quality just the same. Superb food, wine and service. Take a table upstairs, as the ambience significantly better than downstairs.

A stylish and bustling city wine bar. We were very well attended to on a busy and wet Friday evening. A nice buzzy atmoshere to drop in for a drink, chat and nibble.

Have dined here twice at group corporate events, which are not usually the best times to "judge" a restaurant. However both times expectations have been surpassed with the quality of food, timely service and the waitstaff.

My most recent dining was on Melbourne Cup day, a notoriously difficult day but we were treated with respect and careful attention right until and including our departure at about 7pm thus intruding on their evening service. This definitely encourages me to try again as a private diner.

I enjoyed an above average dining experience here in all aspects of food, service. Good variety in menu, wines are little overpriced but food (had the barramundi) and ambience very good.

A favourite local for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Service was always attentive, and food made with love, whether you are after an Italian sandwich, pasta, or bacon and eggs, plus good coffee and tea. Very accommodating for prams despite the available space - they will make it work.

I have eaten here a few times and for whatever reason it never hits any heights with me, despite others telling me how good it is (which is why I go back - to keep checking what I am missing). Food a little underwhelming and perhaps has a formula feel to it or something. Anyway, I've missed "IT", and it will have to miss me too from now on (accommodating for pram when have dined there).

Came on a busy Saturday night (with pram), and the staff were very accommodating and attentive in regards pram etc.- off to a good start. I have rated service a 7, just because they were a little forgetful at times, but very nice overall. Food was good, not stellar, but good Greek fare all the same. Lamb was the pick of our selections. Good atmosphere created by the music, the setting and the staff.

A long time between visits for me to Pier, and the first thing I recalled was the slightly un-warm feel to the restaurant - not the staff, just the room. The food and wine chosen by the waiter/sommelier, however was faultless. It was very high quality in taste and presentation, not sure why I have only given 9 out 10 for food, maybe that room feel is dragging me down again. Value I have given 9 on the basis that you get what you pay for. I dined with group of 8 who nearly all had 3 courses and 4 bottles of wine, plus pre-dinner drinks, came to $150 per head. It will not be an every weekend meal for me, but not outrageous price for a top diner.
