Just had lunch by myself today. Ordered rice with BBQ pork and duck. The BBQ pork I got in the dish are 80% fat... and the "crispy" skins on them look soaked and soft... The BBQ duck I got is:most of them are Fay and soft"crispy " skins... I feel like I be been given a dish of BBQ crap... I was served by a middle age gentleman. Disappointing service... I have. Paid $16 for the dish of crap.... worse Chinese BBQ ever. (p.s. last time I was there the food was average, not bad at all). Poor value poor food. I could get much more better Chinese BBQ less than $10 in the foodcourt at MarketCity. And better service!

Extremely poor service, very rude waitress!
I had dinner with my friend tonight @ Chat Thai Randwick. We ordered a papaya salad, red curry chicken and Chargrill pork shoulder (no. 15 in the menu).
We expected the salad would come first. However, the red curry chicken arrived First! The curry sauce was excellent. The chicken in there tasted like cooked in salt water prior putting into the curry. There is a large room for improvement!
It took about 25 minutes for the salad to come. It is very unusual. The salad was tasteless except chilli sauce.
Another 10 minutes, another waitress put down a dish. It was chargrill squid! I asked that waitress Politely as we ordered chargrill pork shoulder. However, the waitress who helped us to take the order dashed to us saying that we did order chargrill Squid, no 51 on the menu and she had repeated the orders with us!
We did not argue any further but only asked for the menu to have a look again as we are sure we ordered no 15, chargrill pork shoulder. At the time she passed us the menu she still kept saying that we ordered no. 15 the squid. We then pointed out no.15: chargrill pork shoulder. That rude waitress just took away the wrong order. She did Not apologize or say a word to explain what was going to happen. Another 15 minutes, our pork shoulder came. To be honest, it was delicious.
We were really disappointed to the service, esp from that very rude waitress.
I got my doc. The server is SaiChon and the cashier is Kae. That rude gal took our order and sort out the bill for us.
Response from Management:
Dear Peter,
I emailed you regarding this incident on July 25, but you did not reply. Did you get my message?
In my email I said that I would like to thank you for bringing this problem to our attention. We place a positive customer experience as our highest priority and constantly review staff performance on a daily basis through live training, and on a weekly basis through after-hours training programs.
Nevertheless, sometimes things go wrong and when they do we try our best to put it right as quickly as possible. On this occasion we identified the staff member responsible for the incident and it has been dealt with internally. Her conduct was completely unacceptable and does not represent the standards that we train our staff to uphold. We trust that you have eaten satisfactory meals at Chat Thai in the past and we can assure you that we will continue to do our best to ensure that our standards do not drop from the level you are accustomed to.
Kind regards,
Chat Thai Team

We had yum cha today. The whole place was messy. The air conditioning was almost not on. It felt like we were dining outdoor, we kept sweating during our lunch. The service of the waitress was horrible. She was rude to us and throwing the plates and chopsticks to us when setting up the table. The chopsticks were still dipping with water, not dry, yuck. The food was disappointing. The prawns in the prawn dumplings were not fresh. The chick feet were tough. The rice dumplings were too salty. The awful meal cost $52. I won't recommend this restaurant to anyone. Many yum cha places around china town do a better job.

Had buffet dinner on 22 Aug 2010. The nine to five magazine ad said lobster and scallops would be included. That was why we went there. However, we could not find Any lobster or scallops, dead or alive for the whole night. That was extremely disappointing.!
For the seafood, only the salmon, kingfish and tuna sashimi were good. The bugs oyster and prawns were just ok. The crabs were dry and tasteless. The hot dishes were not too bad. Desserts were disappointing. Service and ambience were good.

Had dinner last night. Food was not too bad. We had Augus fillet and T-bone for mains. The fillet was cooked as requested but my T-bone was a bit over.
However, the location is excellent, right at Darling Harbour. We had an outdoor table. The view was so good. Service and value was acceptable.

I called around 8 pm on 1/9/2010 to make a booking for the next night for dinner. The male receptionist/waiter answered the phone was extremely rude to me. His attitude and wording were unacceptable in this "fine dining restaurant". I thought I was calling to a fast-food chain.
I have read some of the comments about this Steersons, which complaining about the poor service. I could imagine how the customer service would be with after calling them. After a while, I was so disappointed and called Steersons to cancel the table.
Consistently, poor customer service again. When I said I would like to cancel the table, the gentlemen replied loudly" Excuse me!?" At that time, I knew I have make a good decision by not going there. Even though Steersons might serve good dishes, their customer service, so far to me, could be rated as awful.

I went there with my girlfriend on 31/7/09. Very disappointing service, esp for the seating system, even though you are the first one waiting to be seated, you'll end up being the last. Coz the "senior staff" who is in charge for the seating is hopeless. He never knows and doesn't care who comes first. Disappointing!
Food is not bad but the tables are so packed. So you are sitting shoulder by shoulder with someone in the next table. The set dinner is about $33, would be enough for 2 girls.
