I went there for the first time in 15 years for a quiet feed and a beer in the lovely leafy beer garden. No such luck, this pub has followed the Golden Barley's 'family friendly' policy of allowing kids inside a previously adult domain. Hence, no peace and quiet, Just loud screaming and kids running amok and totally ruining the ambience. The food was mediocre. My partner and I couldnt wait to get out of there. The staff were nice and friendly but sorry I want to be able to unwind when I go out.

We went for dinner last night. The service was friendly and fast. My friend's meal of ribs was quite good, but my cordon bleu was like rolled beef jerky. I had a job to cut it with the massive steak knives they supplied. I left half of it on my plate and nobody asked us how our meals were when they came to collect the plates. Very disappointed in the food and prob won't return.
