Not sure what the food was like as never got that far. Walked in and were the only ones there and were shown a table crammed into the corner and barely enough space to leave. Looking at the myriad of empty tables after being ignored for 10 minutes we asked if we could sit elsewhere. Told the tables were unavailable and she walked off, funnily enough so did we! Especially is menu looked pretty ordinary.

Not sure why given what they charge for a basic Aus beer. Hardly any outdoor seating, might be nice on a cold winters day as the decor is nice but on a nice summers day, you have to fight for the two dodgy cheap tables on the side of the road and hold your breathe with all the smokers. Needs to open it up a bit (had a bit of that stale beer smell) and hire some staff that seem to be interested.

This place is a very good example of how bad sydney small bars are. The bouncers on the door make it feel if you are heading into the Hell's Angel clubhouse and the atmosphere inside isn't much better, with music so loud couldn't talk, overcrowded and felt like I was in a nightclub. Drinks are overpriced but on the bright side more decent bars have arrived in Glebe so can walk right past this place and keep heading up Glebe Point Rd.

We ate here on Sat 22 Oct 11. Despite having a booking for the '8pm sitting' we were rudely ignored and then told a table wasn't ready (despite six or more being vacant), and then made to stand around in the doorway.
The menu was nothing more than overpriced cafe food. There was three options for the mains beef, chicken or fish (wedding food). The entree of pate tasted like store bought maggie beer and the squid was poorly presented and basically $2 worth of fried calamari thrown on a plate. The salami entree was 6 thin, small slices which was ordinary and no where near the quality of say the wine library. Didn't bother with the RSL mains of steak with boiled broccoli and had souffle instead which was tasteless and smelt of cheap cheese.
Whilst there seems to be some attempt at french diner cuisine, if you are a foodie head elsewhere as this is basic cooking, don't expect anything too complex or quality which given the mains are over $30 could recommend far better places. The fact this place passes itself of as such high quality is a poor indication of Sydney restaurants, and why we are behind Melbourne in this area.

We ate at La Brasserie for the second time and thoroughly enjoyed it again. The food and service were both excellent. Whilst not the cheapest around the entree is under $20 and mains low $30s it is quite good value. The wine list was quite good with Aus/NZ options just not overpriced french varieties. Enjoyed all our dishes and hope they keep up the standard and add some variety with changing specials. We had two of the specials and were very good.

Our favourite restaurant. Food is fresh and full of flavour. Fresh oysters and betel leaves for entree a must. The duck and seafood dishes are great too. Service is always efficient. If looking for something other than just red or green curry chicken would highly recommend.

Service was poor and non-existent. The order was taken with a greeting of 'yep' rather than hello, what would you like, and you had to just about send a signal flare up to get attention. The food was ok, standard indian nothing more. Probably the standard of the takeaway shops.

We used a Cudo voucher for a cocktail each and tapas for $89 as find its a good way to check out new places. The food was plain and probably about $10 in value. The whole time the staff spent trying to sell their other meals while serving our 'tapas' which was average. The voucher was very poor value and would not recommend to anyone. We would not return for a meal given we were ripped off on the voucher.
