Was craving yum cha over the weekend I decided to come and try out Imperial Kingdom. We arrived around 1:30 pm on Sunday and had to wait a short while to be seated, the place was chockers! I would definitely recommend booking for weekends.
We were blown away by how courteous, efficient and hospitable the waiters and waitresses were which is highly unusual for asian restaurants, particularly extremely busy asian restaurants where it can take a long time to be served! It probably helped that I could speak a small amount of Cantonese and Chinese since a few of them had limited English speaking skills.
Food was delicious, probably not a fan of the vegetarian steamed bun, the fried squid was a little overcooked but the yam balls, spring rolls, sticky rice and especially the sago mango pudding was yummy.
The ambience was ok. The whole place could probably go with a renovation and I might suggest that the waiters/waitresses remember to go to all the little corners of the restaurant because we ran out of food at times.
Overall, Imperial Kingdom isn't a bad yum cha place. I would consider going back.
