I never feel satisfied after coming to these sushi train style places. Food is decent but I always find its not value for money. This place is no different. Friendly staff and a nice place to eat before going to the movies.

Really good burgers if not a little pricey. Nice friendly staff too. I had one of the beef burgers with the nice chips. Really enjoyable. I find they seem to close really early though. Before 9pm.

I've been coming here for years. The food isn't really that great to be honest but I really enjoy tex mex food. I think the owners changed recently too. Last time I was in there me and a friend went in quite late. We were the last one's to leave and they actually sat close to us chatting almost putting pressure on us to leave. I'm looking for a better tex mex place!

Can't really complain about this place. It really is a factory, get in and get out is their philosophy. The food is really good though. Prices I guess are decent but I've been told you can get better yum cha for a better price.

Came here with my girlfriend. When we arrived they told us they had no tables available so they suggested we sit at the bar and order some drinks and some entrees. We ordered the chicken wings (I think they call them chookaburras). They were really nice and came with some cheesy dipping sauce.
After a while we are told a table is available and we can go sit and order our mains. I ordered a chicken burger and my partner ordered a salad and soup. The chicken burger was so bad. A $5 burger meal at burger king would've been better. Pretty disappointing.
The dessert, however, was spectacular. We ordered the 3in1 dessert which came with a pavlova, a sticky date pudding and a chocolate fudge cake. It was so good! Next time I'll try a steak!

The food here isn't bad. I'm often in the area so always find myself coming back here because I enjoy the food. The service, however, is terrible. Me and my partner are sitting in the restaurant (we were the only one's) and the waitress and the chefs were having some sort of argument in their native tongue. It was so loud that me and my partner were struggling to hear each other speak. To top it off they are so incredibly rude. They insist you pay when you order even though it is a sit down restaurant.

Had a terrible experience. I ordered a pizza to be delivered to my home. The guy on the phone said it would be about 30 minutes and I was surprised to find a knock on my door within 25 minutes.
The pizza, however, was utterly terrible. For starters it seemed a monkey must have chopped up the toppings. The size of the pieces of capsicum were huge and every bite all I could taste was capsicum. To top it off they put whole mushrooms on the pizza. I'm literally talking big solid golf ball sized mushrooms on the pizza. It was so bad. To top it all off they couldn't even cut the pizza into 8 even sized pieces. Seriously some pieces were triangle, some squared and some rectangular.
Won't be ordering off them again.

I've been coming to Laurie's for 8 years. There's been times when I used to eat here 3 or 4 times a week. I almost always eat burgers but I'll sometimes get the nachos or a mixed plate. I've always either got the soy burger or the chili beans burger with sweet chili sauce, cheese and guacamole. It's pretty hard to top. I go less often nowadays but only because I don't have time to go. When I do go though I always savor the good food. I probably get take away 9 times out of 10 and on the odd occasion where I eat there I'm usually eating with someone. There isn't a lot of seating but what can you do? Keep it up Laurie's!

It's true that this place is very expensive. It's not like your $6.50 Thai lunch special at your local Thai kitchen. Dishes range from around $17-25. For the price the food is expectantly better then what you'd expect at other places. Is it worth all that extra money though? Perhaps not. The bill at the end came to around $80 for 3 dishes and a couple of entrees. We had brought our own wine with us. They have a wide range of dishes on the menu and we had a noodle dish with vegetables and tofu, green curry with chicken and a mushroom dish with tofu.
All in all the food was pretty enjoyable. The staff are quite incompetent and have a lot of trouble understanding and speaking English. It was borderline ridiculous. The restaurant ambience is quite nice. Not too dark and not too light. The seating is quite nice with the low tables and stools. In summary the food is better then decent but not quite worth the bill. I'd recommend if you want a good meal and you don't mind paying a bit extra.

I've been to Holy Cow for dinner about half a dozen times in the space of many years. When I was young I used to come here with my family. Last couple of years I've been here twice with my girlfriend. This review will only be for the last 2 times I went because I don't think I could really appreciate good food when I was younger.
When I came first time with my girlfriend we thoroughly enjoyed it. We started with drinks and then the tandoori sizzler plate which had chicken tikkha and a lamb kebab. It was so delicious. Tender and juicy. The mains also were excellent. We had the butter chicken and the malai kofta. Along with the naan's and a couple of drinks it was all a really enjoyable experience and very good value for money. I believe it was between $50-60.
We came back perhaps a year later. We ordered exactly the same food (when I find something I like I usually stick to it). This time unfortunately it wasn't nearly as good as we had remembered. The chicken tikkha wasn't anywhere near as tender and it was in fact quite dry. The lamb kebab wasn't too bad until I found a hair in it. I informed the owner who looked at the hair for a few seconds and took it away to his staff in the kitchen who stood there in a circle inspected it like a bunch of imbeciles. Not even an apology. Not even a replacement.
Seriously. We had high hopes for the mains but even that was a huge disappointment. The gravy for the butter chicken deadset tasted like tomato sauce mixed with fresh cream. Just a thin watery gravy without spice. Well I'm not one to get up and complain so we quietly ate what we could and asked for the bill. I payed it and as I was getting up the waiter came back and asked me to sit down again.
Then another waiter came over and gave us a complimentary kulfi (Indian ice cream). It was nice of them but I would've just preferred an apology and for them to take that dish off the bill. I guess they thought it was more economical to give a desert which probably cost them $1 as oppose to write off a dish which they charged $18 for. Oh well. I doubt this latest experience was a one off. Sometimes management decide it's best to cut costs by serving poorer quality ingredients. For shame.
