5 of us dined here on a Friday night. 4 dinners were with an Ouffer coupon plus we ordered 1 extra dish. Admittedly, the food took a little while to be served but overall, we were very happy with our dinner and the service. The waitress spilled a little bit of beer and not only did she apologise but brought out another beer to compensate for a few drops! We may have paid extra for some of the meals but it was minimal. We chose 2 red wines from what was on offer - one was Italian and the other from the Hunter Valley - both were most enjoyable, as was the whole night. A good time was had by all.

4 of us ate here with an Ouffer coupon. We sat in the outside room which was quite cold until they switched on both heaters. Food was served immediately, way too fast, even after asking them to slow down a tad. Fish cakes and tom yum soup (a bit sweet) were the tastiest dishes. After this, not only was everything was deep fried but squashed onto our table as we were still eating earlier dishes.

After dessert, heaters were turned off and we felt obligated to leave (around 9.30 pm on a Friday night). All in all, average food and ordinary experience. Atom Thai Newton is a far better restaurant with friendly service and tastier food!

My mum and I ordered the "buttermilk pancakes w honeycomb walnuts, fresh strawberries & maple syrup" - as written on the menu. We thoroughly enjoyed our pancakes but I'm guessing they ran out of strawberries as we were given just one strawberry between two people, which was cut into miniscule pieces and tossed throughout the pancakes. I told the staff so I hope someone realises that when an ingredient is offered on the menu, that is usually what they expect!. More strawberries please! The tea was hot and strong, just how we like it. Why no freshly squeezed orange juice on the menu?

Response from Management:
Dear moimac,

Thank you for visiting us for breakfast and taking the time to write about your experience. The lack of strawberries has been addressed with the head chef and I think you will find that strawberries will be plentiful when next you visit. All I can say is that we are "berry sorry" (terrible joke, sorry). Thank you once again, hope to see you again soon.

Zimzala Management.
PS, freshly squeezed orange juice may be coming soon!

After my husband booked Fish Face for 7pm on a Friday night, I checked Eatability and was prepared for problems. However, our experience was actually very good. I had the $30 sashimi which was so tasty and very fresh. My husband had the fish and chips which he enjoyed thoroughly. The chips stayed warm in the cleverly designed cone shaped container - I like chips and these were a hit. We had no problems with the service and were given water as soon as we sat down. While it is squashy and a bit noisy, I would definitely return.
