Veg spring rolls Ok, veg green curry ordinary. There is better out there. Still haven't found better Thai than Hot Chilli Mt. Alexander Rd Ascot Vale. Next!

Curry puffs, lots of pastry little filling. Satay mushroom were not as per menu (button mushrooms) but big mushrooms cut 3 sections per skewer (3 skewers) with about a scant tablespoon of satay sauce. Stir fried veges with cashews had no chilli heat and the massaman curry was very lite on veges and the coconut had been thinned to a watery consistency (maybe they use the extremely lite coconut milk thinking about my hips.
Overall a very disappointing experience. If you want good Thai try the Hot Chilli at Mt. Alexander Rd Ascot Vale. Tragic! Next.

Ordered takeaway pizza, pasta and garlic bread. Tragic. Tragic! Rounds of eggplant and zucchini plonked on top of the pizza might look impressive but are not to my liking. The pizza base was chewy, not in a good way but a chewy, heavy, tough way, and tasteless. The pasta was bland and tasteless. The garlic bread was stale ciabatta. If you are going to use this bread for garlic bread don't use the day or 2 old stuff, use fresh ciabatta.
I think the water birds at Queens Park Lake Moonee Ponds would have turned their beaks up at this bread. The only hot part of the meal was the tasteless garlic bread. If this is authentic Italian I feel sorry for the Italians. Overall a tasteless waste of money. And they are more expensive than standard pizza take away. You would be better off somewhere else. Enzo and Mario's across the road may be adverse to putting toppings on their pizzas but at least they have some taste. Never again. Avoid like the plague. Next!

Went here for birthday celebration. Didn't recognize the staff, may have changed hands. The Turkish bread was disappointing. Tried to disguise the stale bread by toasting it. It was hard, chewy and definitely stale. Have had toasted turkish bread before and the inside does not taste like this. Mains were very ordinary. Give this one a wide berth. Tragic! Next!

Bismi itself has asked for customer feedback & I have tried to email the following direct to Bismi but the email address is invalid.
Have enjoyed Elizabeth Street restaurant many times but felt I should let you know that I now eat elsewhere as I feel the quality has dropped off a lot. I am a vegetarian & mainly ate dosa with chickpeas & vege thali with roti when I have visited.
Your restaurant went through a time when chickpeas were replaced by some other legume. Don't know what it was but it wasn't as nice as the chickpeas. Can't see how you can call a dosa with chickpeas if you aren't using chickpeas. Also the staples in the thali (sambar, dhal, rasam, chickpeas (when used), potato masala, buttermilk, sweet) are generally OK but the other dishes are at times pretty ordinary. Particularly grated beetroot, bubble & squeak (or whatever it is), these are awful. The roti is generally very nice. Also adding a very ordinary, tired looking salad does not help.
You asked for feedback so please take this as constructive criticism. I remember once when between 12.15 & 1.45 pm weekdays you couldn't get a seat at the Gold An Fork but now this is not so hard. On a positive note your front counter staff are always very nice young ladies.

After trying the cafe's Turkish bread and Sarma (very good) decided to eat in with the wife. The service was very slow (I don't look Middle Eastern.....maybe this is why). The meal was unspectacular with particular mention for the felafel...dry and tasteless. I am not being racist with the above comment about not looking Middle Eastern as I have been to many international establishments. Those serving should not judge me or mine not worthy of a decent meal or service just because we are Aussies.

Had a meal as 2 couples here on a Friday or Saturday night and found it reasonable. Had relatives from interstate stay and headed to Curry Club on Thursday night. 10 adults 1 child. Service was rubbish, food was cold and tasteless when it arrived. Give this one a wide berth.

Tried it twice and both times extremely disappointed. This restaurant has a tiny kitchen space maybe accounting for the slowness of the meal to finally arrive. When it did the food was really ordinary. Maybe I am being harsh as I am comparing it to Thai food (my favourite cusine) but there is no excuse for the bad service. I think this restaurant can only cater for groups of 2 to 4 only, any more and they don't have the ability to cope.
