I'm not sure why ArthurG would suggest that we ignore everyone else and only take advice from him. After reading so many disturbing reviews we decided to check before going. After asking twice we were reluctantly told that yes the restaurant must be cleared of all minors by 9.30. I would have thought this should be explained at time of booking. it turned out that they didn't have our booking recorded anyway so my ratings should be ignored.

I'm usually skeptical about restaurants with such a reputation, assuming they are 2 parts reputation and 1 part performance. Darleys, however, was fantastic and deserving of its awards. The service, great, the food, great, and the ambience was very good. As in all top class restaurants they charge big time but you expect that. Don't expect much change from $400 for a dinner for 2.

A genuine contender for the most over priced restaurant in Sydney! good luck at awards night! If I'm paying $40-$50 for a main course I want to be able to rate 8's, 9's and 10's. If you like good size servings and have too much money then this place might be for you.

If you are a big eater Big Johns is for you, massive servings of average food. Way too crowded.

When I arrived at Rock Lobster and saw the head waitress (probably the owner) in a singlet and trakky daks (or similar) I thought, oh good, this'll be cheap. wrong! they do their utmost to bring the ambience down to fish and chip shop level and then have the hide to charge $36 for a main course! they assumed the $3.10 change was a tip, wrong! I wouldn't have left 10c. I've had worse meals but I've never in my life had worse value.

As always, Bluefin was the perfect romantic evening, great food, great atmosphere, great service and their courtesy bus will pick you up and take you home! The most underrated restaurant in Sydney.
