Food is great, but serving sizes can sometimes vary between visits. Tasty chicken rolls which always hit the spot! Service is efficient and friendly.
Value is unbeatable. Another gold star for the West!

Food is great and really good value. It really is more a takeaway shop than a restaurant, but is good for a casual, quick lunch or dinner.

Service can generally leave a bit to be desired, but not rude or slow. Definitely a place you will return to!

May 2012: Had a group dinner here last night. Food was absolutely great, came out quickly and service was good. Was a bit tentative that the quality last time was a one-off, but they have definitely concreted themselves as a great local restaurant we can show off to our visitors from the Eastern Suburbs and North Shore. Thanks guys!

July 2011: Had a fantastic dinner at Ginger on a Monday night. Ordered the tandoori platter which came with a good selection of different tandoori entree pieces. Also tried the samosas which were great, yummy filling and crispy pastry.

Had butter chicken, lamb korma, dal makhani and aloo gobi to share between four. The serves were big enough to leave everyone full, although because the dishes the curries are served in are quite long, it looks like there is not much meat (in terms of a meat: sauce ratio).

Also tried the pistachio kulfi and golab jamun which were both great. Service and ambience were both great, not overbearing, replenishing water bottles as needed and food came out in a timely manner. Music wasn't too loud and room was nicely decorated.

Would not hesitate bringing friends to this great restaurant, which turned out to be a fantastic random pick.

Response from Management:
Thanks a lot for giving us an opportunity to serve you. We assure you the best quality food and service on each of your subsequent visit. We, at Ginger always strive hard to make our food quality better with each passing day. Thanks once again for your appreciation which keeps us going!!!

Just enjoyed a lovely Mother's Day dinner at El Phoenician Parramatta. Made a last minute booking with no hassles.

Despite the restaurant being almost full, service was impeccable.

We decided on trying the vegetarian platter and the meat and poultry platter for four. The food was fresh, tasty and plentiful. Dips and salads came out a few minutes after ordering and the rest of the food not too long after. Drinks came out very promptly also. Service was attentive throughout the meal and extras such as garlic sauce, breads and dips were topped up without having to ask.

Table was cleared in a matter of seconds with four staff making sure all plates and used glasses were gone and table was crumbed and ready for dessert! We were given a complimentary dessert platter consisting of some baklava and fresh fruit (watermelon, strawberries and blueberries).

Obviously, this place is in a different league to the El Jannahs and Awafis of the area and is best for special night out or a group dinner. We used an Entertainment Book voucher so had 25% off, which made the entire experience extremely good value.

The place has a warm and relaxing feel to it and the fit out is very contemporary.

Not really knowing what to expect food-wise, we have come away very impressed and will definitely return. Definitely one of the better establishments on Church St.

Garlic pizza was delicious and bruschetta was generous, with delicious bread and a huge amount of yummy tomato topping. The Maranello's pizza was great - fluffy pizza base which isn't too thin or thick. Tortellini boscaiola was really flavoursome and came in a huge serving. One of the better pasta's I've had in a restaurant. Will return to try the talked up dessert pizzas, we were too full to try anything else!

Amazing coffee and breakfast/brunch food. Service always comes with a smile. We need more places in Parramatta like this!

Was excited seeing that the Phoenix chain was opening a restaurant in Parramatta, in what was the old Borders bookstore, near the cinemas in the Westfield.

Food was great, nice and fresh and plenty of variety. Staff were very helpful and went out of their way to find us a particular noodle dish and ensure what we were selecting off the cart was hot and fresh.

Would definitely go back, whether it be for a small dinner or with a large group for yum cha.

Food was delicious and came in large servings. Ordered the shredded beef burrito (came with salad and guacamole) and the chicken nachos. Both were delicious and very filling. Value for money was great, chips and dip, two mains, two soft drinks and a margarita for $62! Fantastic!

Only qualms were that the burrito could have had a bit more beef in it and the interior design of the place needs an upgrade (plastic tablecloths etc.).

All in all, wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place to someone looking for a cheap, cheerful and tasty meal!

Coffee is pretty good and generally a reliable option. Food is pretty good too, they have a huge range of sandwiches and snacks at pretty reasonable prices.
