Great service and great food. This restaurant has always been one of the best italian places on norton street. I had the chicken breast with polenta last time and it was just incredible. You pay a little bit more than some other restaurants on the street but it's well worth it for the exceptional service and fantastic food. Still yet to try a dessert as I've always been too full after dinner but they look amazing.

I started coming here maybe 2 years ago and it was amazing, but over the past year the quality of food and service has declined a lot.

Last time I was there, it was mid afternoon on a sunday so there was basically no one there, yet it still took 45 mins for our food to be ready. The staff are fairly cold and we weren't given chopsticks with our meals. The miso was cold and the tempura was so gluggy we couldn't eat it.

Shanghai dumpling restaurant is not the most aesthetically pleasing restaurant, and the staff are not the friendliest people in the world but oh my god the dumplings here are the best I've ever had. You can watch the ladies making them behind the glass so you know they're super fresh. The service isn't fantastic, and it's always very busy so I recommend take away but get in early because every time I've been after 7.30/8 they've run out of something I wanted.

I have been here a few times, usually about an hour before lunch close and we can usually walk straight in, or only have to wait 5-10mins. Service is impeccable, I love the little trolleys they put your bags in. Food was ready very quickly, and the staff are just so attentive.

The food is very tasty and very fresh. The dumplings are amazing, but to be honest you can get dumplings that are just as good elsewhere and not have to line up and much cheaper. It's a great restaurant but I think it is a bit overrated.

A friend took me to asakusa for the first time about a year ago, and I have been back many many times since. Every time I've been I have one of the amazingly cheap bento boxes. You get so much for $14 - for what you pay, it's exceptional value, the food is flavorsome and fresh - there are some haters out there, but you can't except kobe jones quality sushi for this price. Quality of service can vary but generally the staff are fairly attentive and I've never waited more than 20 mins for a meal, even on a busy saturday night.
