This place has tourist trap written all over it. Only 2 red wines by the glass, neither had the vineyard or region noted. Only 2 beers on tap. Limited and overpriced cook your own meat or carvery options. Salad bar was very ordinary. Service was "I'm only working here till something better comes along" all of which made for a cool atmosphere.

Great views, average Japanese food. Food and drink service was uncoordinated. It felt understaffed. The kitchen closed surprisingly early so don't expect late dining. Best thing was the Summer Light cocktail, good value at $12. You are paying for the views not the food here.

Had the monday special, peppered beef pot pie. The beef was tough and the gravy had a strange texture. The chips were ok, nothing special.

Had a burger with cheese (no sauce at my request) at the Westfield Level 5 food hall.
Great burger and bun - just the right size. Fries were good too and an ample portion even for me. I will return!

As a local I expected the worst from this tourist trap but was pleasantly surprised by the food. Looking around us the pizzas looked very ordinary indeed so we decided on pasta. We ordered a spag bol and a salmon fettuccine, both of which seemed home made and quite acceptable. The tiramisu for dessert was pretty ordinary though.

We sat downstairs which is very crowded so best for a quick in and out rather than a romantic dinner. The pasta was priced Ok considering the location but the drinks were expensive. Service was Ok except it closed suddenly with no last orders warnings, annoying.

If you are nostalgic for a country town RSL club then you will enjoy the International Nippon Club. There is more atmosphere on the moon than in this windowless basement dining room. The menu is rather limited e.g. no noodles.

We had the pork belly entree which seemed to be steamed. It was OK. The tempura was acceptable but the batter could have been a bit lighter. The lamb cutlets were nicely cooked but the basil sauce seemed a bit random. The draught VB was pretty flat.

For the same price you could eat better at many other Japanese restaurants in Sydney and they would have some atmosphere. Won't be returning.

Heard about the bacon and egg rolls so came here for one last Saturday around 1PM. The bacon and egg were close to perfect but I didn't like the roll. It tasted herby and was a bit too fluffy and not crispy enough. Coffees were very good but the long black could have come in a bigger cup. Won't be back till they change the rolls.

The Bamboo Dumpling restaurant has gone, replaced with a Bill & Toni's Italian.
Ordered the rump steak and chips with pepper sauce. It arrived medium rare when I had ordered it medium well. It was good nonetheless. Only problem was the steak and sauce were piled on top of the chips making them soggy.

Note to all pub chefs: please put the chips on top or on the side of the steak!
Final comment: This pub could do with a dark beer or a boutique brewery beer or 2 on tap.

Great beer of course and the food is good and reasonably priced. Only complaint, the mens! Awful. Is it too hard to get a staff member to clean it up every hour or so?

Very good food, nice atmosphere and friendly service. The beer choice could be a bit more adventurous (a dark beer please) and the wine by the glass is a bit on the small size. Overall very good and I would go back.
